I was so tempted to get 2-3 pairs of them, but been spending so much between the IM Super Bench Pro and various attachments and Christmas shopping...still kinda kicking myself seeing how long they were still actually up and trying to decide, oh well maybe in the next month, or two when they restock lol.

I don't own anything by Rogue. My gym is pretty old school. Main reason I pulled the trigger on a pair is because all my plates are smaller than 17 inches in diameter, and I'm sick of deadlifting from a deficit. So I like that these are 17.72 inches and think they look pretty cool and will fit in well in my gym.

Nothing wrong with that. I like having 1 pair of 45s that are at least slightly higher in diameter than my other 45s specifically for deadlifts. Makes changing plates a whole lot easier.

I'd love to have a set of 100s, just because. Been looking for Ivanko 100s to match my OMEZH, but I'd settle for the deep dish alternative at this point.

I wouldn't mind grabbing a couple 100s to leave on my belt squat. I'd prefer some Ivanko OMEZHs to come close to my 6-shooters but the cost for a pair of hundos is absurd.

I picked up a pair of OMEZH 100s years ago on a bulk buy order with guys here. Max discount on volume and still stupid expensive. That said I really like them. They are a different design than the other plates so that one can grab inside the holes to get purchase and tilt the plate up if it's laid flat. Quite thoughtful really - took me a bit to understand why they were slightly different in design.

They sit permanently on my reverse hyper. Easy to move to the floor area for pulls if need be. Splurge purchase but figured now or never.

I've been waiting for their retail store to open back up, too. Been eyeing their 125 lbs dumbbells for weeks. They just raised the price $34 last night. And yeah, I'm not paying $175 S&H when I live 30 mins away.

I've been waiting for their retail store to open back up, too. Been eyeing their 125 lbs dumbbells for weeks. They just raised the price $34 last night. And yeah, I'm not paying $175 S&H when I live 30 mins away.
I live 45 mins away and have been wanting to buy more six shooters. Not being able to pick up is a killer. They should at least offer curbside for locals. With that being said I did order their scout hyper this morning and was only $40 shipping. My lower back has been sore and I hope it helps. I could justify it with this. More plates are just going to have to wait until they open.

I don't see a point in paying a premium for these 100s just to park them on a leg press or other machine. A waste of money honestly. It's just as hard to move as cheaper 100s, if you're gonna drop some dime, at least get Iron Grips with handles or Ivankos with holes.

They are $336 a pair if you pick them up in Columbus (includes tax), for machines where you start out with 200lbs to warm up it's not a bad deal (leg press, belt squat, reverse hyper, ect). I'm sure the Ivanko or IG's would run you $500-$600+ for a pair of hundos. They just look nice and with the lip there really is no need for handles, just don't lie them flat on the ground LOL. Next year when I take the kids to the Columbus Zoo I'll probably pick up a pair for the gym.

Agreed, the Ivanko or IGs would be much more costly. I'm still not a fan of the DD option for that purpose at that price. For $386 (plus tax) you can get calibrated 50 kg plates, which totals an extra 20 lbs. Or for $293 (plus tax) you can get York Legacies, which still look pretty sharp and are accurate to 2%. I really like DD 45s, but I don't think 100s have any practical utility outside of aesthetics (which is a fine reason to get 'em). They're still difficult to carry one handed for most people. I can grab an IronGrip 100 plate in each hand and bring it out to the sled or yoke without stopping, so that's why I like them. I understand you and others are talking about parking it on a machine, but I think that's more of a reason to get a thinner standard 100. Personally, I'm a fan of the vintage double sided yorks. Paint them whatever color you want and make 'em look nice.

Looks like my 25s are expected to arrive on Christmas Eve, before my 45s order placed in November lol, but it's all good and normal for these times...so I'll get to see what the 25s look like first and will update the thread.

Edit: Thought I'd add these videos on the plates since I think this recent reviewer did a good job on presenting them...

Merry Christmas! Well, it turns out my 25s arrived very quickly on Christmas Eve (I'm assuming the 25s aren't as in high demand as the 45s are being the reason). I opened the pair up a few minutes ago and they are quite impressive in person (almost like a smooth glass mirror feel to the back, around the plates and the holes), I know not having the deep dish style on the 25s is a bit of a let down for some...but for the history, quality and price a pair, or two on 25s will suffice in this style.

I took a few pics, the first plate around the hole appears to have some imperfection of the paint chipped, while the second plate is in pristine condition (I might address Rogue about the first plate)...all in all though I'm glad I went with these plates and look forward to the 45s when they ship as well.

Super nice plates. As you mentioned, the 25 lb plates (and likewise 10s, 5, and 2.5s) weren't deep dish in deep dish sets. So it's historically accurate for them to look this way.

Those are sweet. That polished look on the back is very nice. Congrats and Merry Xmas!
