How long do you stick it out in a slow work environment?

So I'm paid basically commission. The place I started working at has always had good numbers and is a good place to work at least up until the plandemic. They are just slow lately and that means I'm standing around a lot waiting for work to come in. Right now it's usually a big slow, and election years it's always a bit off, combine Covid19. There are places with more work, but they usually aren't as busy as this place and aren't as good places to work. I've been there three months now and some days it's good, some day's it's alright, but most days it's slow and some days it's just dead. I'm making enough to survive, but not enough to thrive, not at all. Just trying to figure out if I should stick it out or move on.

Very difficult question to answer in this time, but especially in commission based sales I think you've got to go where the money is. You don't give much detail on the company or industry but if your current company is heavily struggling in this situation that is not likely to improve anytime soon so it would be wise to take advantage of any opportunities that come along to jump ship to another company/industry that is better positioned for success in this environment.
