Hi brahs,
I'll be straight I'm pretty ignorant about investing money and how it all works, how to make good decisions, different markets etc. In fact I'm completely green on all of it.
I'm at a stage in my life where I'm starting to make a lil more money as well as getting chunks from options, bonuses, commission etc.
Can you guys recommend any good value for money courses or organisations where I can learn what I'm doing in terms of making my money do some work?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers all

I have a degree in finance. To sum it all up, it's all about risk and reward, and diversification. Suppose you have an investment that my double your money in a year, but there is a 50% chance you will lose it all. You'll either double your money or you will have nothing. Suppose there is another investment where you will make 10% in a year, but there is a 10% chance you will lose it all. There is also a 3rd investment that will make you 5%, and there is a zero percent chance of losing it all. This is also called the risk free rate, 5%. You can take all your savings and put a certain percentage in all 3 of the investments. Perhaps 25% in the first one, 50% in the second, and 25% in the third. This is called diversification.

The Intelligent Investor (third time mentioned ITT, the first being the Buffett's Books link as this is one of the books Warren Buffett highly recommends as well)
Written by Benjamin Graham (Warren Buffett's professor during MBA school) who is known for being the original father of value investing before passing the reigns to Warren. Gives a great overview of how to value stocks based on their fundamentals and identify good long-term investment opportunities. Gives a background from which you can read financial statements of companies and form an opinion and price target
