I would have said Brady, but he was not even the best QB in the league several years during the 18 year run of being a dynasty.
In 2001 he was a game manager. In 2003-2004, the defense won the titles. He wasn't a powerhouse at his position for several years after taking over in 2001.
Lance is a great answer, though.
Yup. nadal is also 10-4 against Federer in grand slams.August 2023:

Best QB is so subjective man. QB is so reliant on Line and WR's. End of the day I think Tom's number suffered because BB knew he could win with a mediocre offensive cast so he spent the money on Defense.
Ultimately 6 rings and 9 SB's just takes the cake. Winning in the NFL is the hardest of all pro sports. Its not like NBA where you win championships in free agency.
1 team, 6 rings, 9 SB's. Sht supporting cast for many years outside of early days and Moss/Welker makes him the GOAT American athlete imo. The guy was a fooking 6th round pick look where he is now. Not even going to lie im a big Tom Brady homer idgaf.

I'll go with Pedro Martinez during his prime. I remember being a Cleveland Indians fan going up against him in the early 2000s thinking before games against him "ok, if we can work up his pitch count maybe we can get him out in the 7th or 8th inning and have a shot at scoring a few runs against the bullpen".
Or
Barry Bonds. The mere fact of intentionally walking someone with the bases loaded = pure dominance.Never neg first but always neg back crew

As far as mainstream sports go, I'm with everyone who says Gretzky. There is no argument about the best hockey player to play the game. He firmly holds the 1st place spot with zero competition.
Randy Moss was also a good choice. Jerry Rice was an all around better WR, and possibly the greatest player to play football, but Moss's physical gifts and dominance were unlike anything the NFL ever saw. He was unstoppable and put fear in DBs minds before they even got on the field.
Stepping outside the box, Simone Biles (USA Gymnast) is easily the most dominant athlete of modern days. Anyone competing against her is competing for second place before the first event even starts.6'1 - 240lbs

Obviously in hockey it’s Gretz, Orr, Mario
But, this guy absolutely wrecks people physically
Oh and he may break Gretz’s all time goal record
Probably won’t see another dominating goal scorer like him for quite a while. Especially with his physical play.
Obviously not the best, but a name that hasn’t been said.Proof Angels exist: OzleyASMR

I do realise that
1. He had a longer career, so he has better ‘gross’ statistics
2. Hockey is what, 20th most played sport in the world? Less? It’s a small, small talent pool same as golf.
Cricket is hugely popular, vast talent pool. That’s why it’s Bradman, by a mile, and I despise Australia and everyone in it.
Phil Taylor is runner up since everyone has played darts to some level. Even yanks2023 bertie awards 2024 nominations

True, but was he dominant? During the super bowl games:
Wins:
2001: 16/27, 145 yards, TD
2003: 32/48, 350 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT
2004: 23/33, 236 yards, 2 TD
2014: 37/50, 328, 4 TD, 2 INT
2016: 43/62, 466 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
2018: 21/35, 262 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
Losses:
2007: 29/48, 266 yards, 1 TD
2012: 27/41, 246 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
2017: 28/48, 505 yards, 3 TD
Not gonna lie, thought the numbers would be worse than that. But, 5 INT's in 6 wins. Plus, each year during his dynasty, best QB's:
2001: Warner, Favre or Garcia
2002: Manning or Gannon
2003: Manning
2004: Manning
2005: Manning or Palmer
2006: Manning, Palmer or Brees
2007: Brady
2008: Brees, Rivers or Warner
2009: Favre, Manning or Brees
2010: Brady
2011: Rodgers or Brees
2012: Brees, Manning or Rodgers
2013: Manning
2014: Manning or Rodgers
2015: Brady or Wilson
2016: Ryan or Rodgers
2017: Brady
2018: Mahomes
2019: Wilson
Idk, if we're talking about "dominance" I don't see it. If we were talking about Gretzky, he'd be on every single year as the best or among the top 2-3. To me dominance is about dunking on the competition
Bro, idk how I didn't mention Bonds. He is literally the baseball goat. In his MVP seasons they walked him with the bases loaded ffs.
Season by season, bold = led the league
Career stats, gold is all time leader:
The man ****ing averaged .298/40/100/28. He was a 400/400 player before PED's, too. 8 gold gloves? offense and defense?! That is WILD

Yeah hockey isn’t very popular. I think a lot has to do with how expensive it is. My parents literally payed upwards of 5k a year to have me play. This doesn’t include the time and cost of mileage to drive me around southern Ontario for games.
With basketball soccer and football you literally need a ball, court or field.
Hockey you need thousands of dollars worth of equipment and need to rent the ice. I’d assume golf would be similar.
Definitely two sports for the more affluent which makes the talent pool much smaller. In saying that I think enough people play the game where the dominance by the all time greats like Gretzky would be statistically significant.
To your point about Gretzky vs Lemieux, I think if you looked at their primes Gretzky would have been significantly more dominant from a points per game point of view than Lemieux.

I know most people aren’t into track and field. But what Usain Bolt did will never be done again. The guy was celebrating his victory in the 100m 70 meters into it.
His world record stands 11 years later. And nobody has come within a tenth of a second of it. And his 200m has stood for 11 years as well. Gold in 08,12, 16. Only person to ever do that.

Randy Moss is such a long strider that when he would take off down the sidelines he didn't look like he was moving fast until you saw him leaving people in the dust. Dude ran like a gazelle, completely effortless. Moss was the better athlete but Rice was the better route runner and had better hands. Rice's receiving yards and TD records will probably never be broken and that is insane considering how much more often they throw the ball now than when he played
Gretzky is so far ahead of his competition I don't see how you couldn't have in the conversation. Between 99 and 2001 Shaq was an absolute force of nature. If caught the ball in the post you were fukd. Jordan was simply unbeatable when he was at his prime. He was a walking bucket and would lock down whoever they put him on.
Roy Jones Jr. was unbeatable in his prime. By the time I started watching boxing Tyson was washed up so I can't really comment on his prime and I quit watching by the time Mayweather came along6'2"

People that either changed the sport or have records so far gone that likely nobody will ever touch them:
Jack Nicklaus people forget about but he's tied with Tiger for tour wins and ahead of him by 3 in majors. GOAT golfer.
Nobody will ever come close to Gretzky in hockey.
Phil Taylor's domination in darts is ridiculous. Won 214 tournaments, 85 major wins and 16 World Championships, 8 of which were in a row.
People again forget that Kareem technically has eight championships in basketball, six as a player and two as an assistant coach.

BS record though. Look at the Top 50 fastest times ever. Not top 50 athletes, top 50 times. He's the only one on there not to have doped, and he's there about 6 times.
Straight up bull****. You telling me that all those dopers are working their asses off, popping pills and injecting their asses, and they can't beat a clean guy who is smashing the KFC all the time?A.L.L. Leukemia 2009 - 2012
