It was obvious it would eventually happen, thats why I held off. If trump had won again I'd probably start making some good dents in it, but now that Biden is in I'll be set for $40k. I'll take $10k but schumer was saying up to $50k so we'll see.

wondering how this applies to the repayment plan. does it cancel it? supposedly 120 payments on a fed loan and you're free and clear if you work for govt/nonprofit. does this subtract 50k and the balance is subject to the same?

Lenders are towing the line and making a fortune, until it affects their bottom line, then congress will allow its forgiveness across the board. By that time... all the profit from student loans will be accruing interest in funds, still making banks a fortune and everyone wins.
