I am just waiting to see the Digital Foundry on this Series X vs PS5. This game will be the first tell of what the power difference amounts to real world.
As far as the game, because of the subject matter I find this the most interesting AC yet, but I have a policy to buy all my Ubi games a year after release for 70-80 percent off with all DLC and all the launch issues patch out. Until then I'd be interested to see what miscers are saying about it.

I think that's partly because he was on a 2080 Ti and a 9900xe.
GPU wise he should be getting ultra performance, but streaming games in itself is a tax on the CPU. I didn't watch his stream, but if he cranked everything up and was running it at 1440p or higher he was probably getting some performance issues. But yes, there's no defending Ubisoft though, their games are always mid quality or low quality when it comes to optimization.

If you are on the fence with regards to the stealth gameplay, there is a gameplay setting called "guaranteed assassinations" that enables you to instantly kill any enemy (even higher level ones). You no longer have to settle for a failed assassination attempt that only partially damages a higher level enemy. This was my biggest issue with the past two games, as that mechanic basically discouraged stealth combat and forced you into the tedious melee combat.
The combat in Valhalla, so far, is not as spongy as Origins or Odyssey but I am not a fan of the new stamina system. The dual-wielding, mix and match style is pretty awesome though.
On the exploration side, there are now world encounter side quests that are very similar to RDR2/GTA V. You will meet different characters that give you a short task to complete and gain a reward. These encounters are part of the open world checklist and are marked on your map in addition to the many loot chests.
The optimization is excellent, I am getting 60+ fps on mostly high settings compared to the 30-40 fps in WD: Legion with the same settings.America is number one

Wait. It is released today? I marked it as next Tuesday. I missed the news that they moved it up.
Will get my pre order at the shop tomorrow I guess. And reviews says story-wise, it answers a lot of long time AC questions and moves the whole story forward.
I just hope there is minimal Animus/modern day ****.CHRISTMAS Forever Crew

ugh another AC game. Busy work with same-structured quests, XP boosts and (acc. to ACG) bad combat. Letting this slide boyos.
I'm getting hyped for Godfall tho, new combat trailer looks hype AF https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpxa...earboxOfficial

Hey anyone else having issues choosing the character to play? It has 3 options, the dude, the woman, and the games choice or something. It says left click with mouse on the one you want. This does absolutely nothing for me. I have tried everything else. Even tried plugging in my xbox controller. The A button does absolutely nothing. I cannot even start the game lol. Anyone else have this issue???
Thanks!
