Kushner is a liberal democRAT anyway. He's the one who pushed Trump to champion criminal justice reform, which is just doublespeak for lessening the accountability criminals have to face for their crimes. That doesn't play well with Trump's base which is pro-law & order. It didn't get him much in the election either. 82% of black men still voted for Biden. 92% of black women did as well. I think a lot of black people aren't for criminal justice reform either. It's really an SJW issue anyway. Pardoning people on a case by case basis is fine, but wholecloth changes to the system so that repeat offenders spend less time in jail is not a winning issue with republican voters.
