iPhone 6, 5 years and counting. Nothing wrong with it, just replace the battery every couple of years and it's good to go

3-4 years is optimal unless you have a good reason for it due to specifically revolutionary features.

Some would say BlueTooth 5.0 was a big deal, some might care more about wireless charging speeds, most recently 5G has hit some carriers/devices as well.

It's almost never worth it to upgrade less than 2 years, unless your phone broke or something.

got a new s7 in 2017. got lost a year later. bought a used one. still works fine. i like the size of it but the camera is chit.

also have a work iphone xr but i don't like it.

I think they stopped making new iPhone SE gen 1's so I can only pick up used ones which seem to last anywhere from 6-24 months with my current one (before the battery started fading) lasting about 22 months and MIGHT be upgrading to the 12 mini but if I can find a new-ish gen1 for about one fiddy then i will be going with that instead of the 12 mini which will run about a grand with the 256gb hard drive.
