Did he have credentials? Like did he own a farm, or fight Indians, or do anything that made him a cowboy? Or was it just a gimmick? And also, did he ever fight bad news brown?

Of course he was. If you call yourself a cowboy and wear a cowboy hat, but not a real cowboy, then real cowboys will beat you down. It’s like bikers who wear cuts of biker gangs on their jackets but they’re not really in the gang. They catch a beat down
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a nonlinear, nonsubjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

Its a gimmick. Bob owns a car dealership and Randy went to high school locally. No horses, no barns. No lariets, hay, cows or the like. Just a gimmick. Randy went to Hazelwood West, home in Florissant MO. I have seen his year books.
So asking if Bob is a real cowboy the answer is no.*INBA/PNBA - PNBA (Professional) Wheelchair Natural Bodybuilder*

I remember at one point in 1987 the WWF had Ace Orton, Outlaw Ron Bass, Blackjack Mulligan, Jimmy Jack Funk, Sam Houston and Scott Casey all at the same time. All cowboys
