According to scripture he was brutally mogged on for a few days, mostly for political reasons.
That sure sucks.
But then he “died”.
Then he rose again and lives forever in heaven.
......
Ah hem...
While people who are made in God’s image burn in hell for eternity. (According to the Bible)
How is a crucifixion the “ultimate sacrifice”?
Many countless humans have endured similar and even way worse fates. So that is weird.
And now Jesus is in paradise....
What actual sacrifice is there?
Here is my promise to the world. As a nobody.
I will gladly spend eternity in hell if it meant all of you had a secure place in heaven.
No questions asked at all. I want this. I desire it.
Forget about me though.
Worship Jebus who left you to live in paradise.
This is your religion.

Jesus knew Judas was going to betray him (Book of John 13:17-18) and he suffered on the cross to atone for the sins of man (i.e. part of the divine plan to save humanity). Atonement is the very heart of the christian faith and is the act that restores people's broken faith with God. Just because a person suffers doesnt mean they will be granted entry into paradise. This would mean that terrible people would be allowed into heaven. You must accept Jesus as your lord and savior. TRULY accept him. Not just be a good person, help others, give more than you receive etc.

You sure made your point there. Refuting my points and all.
/sarcasm.
Might as well just say yes daddy. Literally same end game.
Doesn’t refute the fact.
Why did Jesus get into the made up world of heaven? And why is his entry into paradise considered the greatest sacrifice?
What did Jebus actually give up?
What did he give up?
What did Jesus sacrifice?
What did he give up?I only read thread titles and my own posts.

Religion uses realized symbols. Symbols becoming real. This is basic stuff. The symbol of the ultimate sacrifice, god's sacrifice of his own son, is resonant with everyone - god then used religious logic to turn this metaphor into a physically-real and relevant truth
Epic 2000s 2-Steps-From-Hell LOTR fantasies about "why doesn't Christ going to hell forever for our sake", are over-the-top, tasteless and inappropriate for religious symbolism and metaphysics

There are different interpretations of what Hell actually is.
Some say it is the final separation from God, the Source of all Life, in which you die the final death and are separated permanently from Creation/God.
There has to be punishment for committing evil actions against others, against God, etc...
Someone has to pay for it. In a normal world, we each pay for what we did, and receive the punishment for our actions.
However, God loves us, and as He is a good Father, he carried out a plan to have His Son, Jesus, pay the punishment for all of us. Every evil thing you have done, all you have to do is repent and accept Christ, and Jesus' sacrifice takes the punishment for you. This was God's plan all along, to redeem his creation and save us from ourselves."Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me." - Psalm 23
