It is a labor of love for sure. To make matters even better, the truck can arrive anywhere from 10:30, to 3:00, or later. I'm virtually a one man show, so there is always something to do to kill the time in between.

    12.10.2020

    12.10.2020

    Training:

    D, Swings 15x15,15
    Reverse Lunge 7,7,7,7,7,7,7=49
    Wide-Grip Pull-ups 7,7,7,7,7,7,7=49
    Dips 7,7,7,7,7,7,7=49

Frequency work today. The scale read 141.5. I'm liking where I'm at currently with training in terms of ongoing strength increases, and hypertrophy results (from the frequency work.) I am doing no sarcoplasmic training (no pump training) whatsoever at this time, but if I would include it, I think I could easily add 2-4 pounds of body weight to the scale. I may start to alternate strength days, with frequency days soon.

    12.11.2020

    Training:

    D, Swings 15x15,15
    Squats 133x3, 164x5,5
    Deads 197x5,5
    Dips BW+100.5x5.5
    Chins BW+51x5,5
    Shrug/Clean Combo 15x20
    OHP 101x5
    Farmers Walk 197x80FT.

Decided to do only the strength work today. I'm thinking at the level of volume Am now at, I will cap the frequency work at 50 reps (at least for a little while) and hit it every other day, on the off days from the strength training. Scale read 141. I'm still doing a ratio of 75/15/10 for carbs/protein/fat, often with fat being as low as 7-8 %.

Close to a 7 mm? That's an awesome pace! You've always been fast with your runs.

What has your training been like in recent times? Thanks for stopping in!
YW! I've been mainly running and doing yoga. I also follow these cross fit programs that I discovered during Covid. Going for a ''reset'' when I'm off for a few weeks for the Christmas break as I feel like there's no real structure to my schedule.

Btw, I've been using a product I think you'd really like - it's a superfood that I add to my protein shakes:

    https://www.amazinggrass.com/

They lie though, it's definitely not ''great tasting'' lol but if you add it to your smoothies, you can faintly taste it but it's not bad. Nutrient dense which is hard to find anymore.

Your workouts are sick! Keep up the great work. Happy holidays!

Thanks Sharon! It has been so long since I was able to get out for a run. I sure do miss it though. We had some unseasonably warm weather the past couple days, but my schedule wouldn't cooperate. The holidays are a great time to reset and revamp! Thanks for the link!

I've been looking for some addons to the nutrition. I haven't used any supplements for a long time, but I was actually kicking around an idea for a product that would be an all in one, even contacted a fulfillment company, but with all the craziness in the world currently, I put it on the backburner.

Thanks Brother! I've always been the same regarding the savory. In the past, when U would have a "junk" day, I'd usually do pizza, maybe donuts, or ice cream, not too big on the sweets, but would indulge on these days, but since starting this diet experiment, I literally haven't had anything close to a cookie, ice cream etc for months and months. I think, just my own hypothesis, is that the huge amount of carbos that I'm taking in most days. is literally squelching that urge. I still have pizza however.

Nice training sessions. Farmers walks at the end always make me gasp for air just reading you doing them is enough.

You are the only one in your restaurant?!? That makes life simpler I bet. Our trucks are always in before 10 so I rarely need to deal with it. The am team gets the pleasure even though 3/4 of it is for me 😂

It seems I have taken up with the culinary crowd on this forum lol.

I think the biggest thing that trips me out about your workout is the fact that once you are done with all the other work, you pick 200 and walk it 40 yards
You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

Thanks Brother! These carries are always a wildcard. I know right away if my grip is a go or not.

I love your experimental approach to both diet and exercise. Super impressed by the amount of volume you're doing in a very short time span. Good stuff man!

    Training:

    D. Swings 15x15,15
    Reverse Lunges 2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,5,5=50
    Wide Grip Pull-ups 2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,5,5=50
    Dips 2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,5,5=50

The idea today was to get the work done, but to not touch the CNS, just hammer it out, no stress. When I got towards the end, I decided to expedite, so I did a couple 5-rep sets. This session was literally one super long set. As the day went on, I had the slightest bit of tightness in the forearms, and lats, probably a little bit of accumulated fatigue.

Sleep has been very good overall, most nights I'm ranging 7-8 hours. I forgot to add, I did do this session in a fasted state, something I do every so often, usually to save a little time. Scale read 141.5.

Thanks Brother! Yessir I do hit the training early, just after tallying up the previous night's receipts, then giving the pup her insulin injection.

It sure was. I really enjoyed running the big contests. We would get hundreds of entries, and it did get all-encompassing at times, but I loved it. From what I was told, the expense to advertise skyrocketed.

    Farmers Walk 201x80FT.

Body weight was 141.5. Good session. All still well within my scope, but as the weeks go on, there is incrementally more demand. I'm just about 7 weeks into this diet/programming experiment, and am having to fight my propensity to switch up my training approach.

Despite the successes of this training approach, I could see some tweaks being advantageous going forward.

I am just messing with you. Good to see you back at it. Sadly no log or gym for me right now... My gym has been closed for months. I actually haven't lifted a weight in months. I have done some boxing and some other things. Honestly not really motivated to do anything right now. My wife and have been working from home since March and the kids have been pretty much home schooled since then as well. The school is trying to back full time but we will see if that happens. Just a little to much stress to really think about anything else. So not only do we work full time now we are also basically full teachers.

On the other hand I have been really busy doing house projects. Over the last 4 months I built a 20x20 deck in my back yard, built a paver patio across my front yard area and another small one on my back yard.

Looks like a really solid session. Hypothetically, what tweaks would you making, knowing what you now know after having done this for a while?
