I heard the placebo was also around 90% effective in one of the trials (srs). With a small short duration process it is hard to get a good feel for efficacy. i.e. luck of the draw that people who received placebo vax during the trials never became ill with covid due to prior exposure immunity etc. I just read the Merck is selling its stake in Moderna which is concerning...

You should look at multiple media sources, if they all say the same thing (like masks work), it’s porobially not right. Science don’t work that way, where everything is agreeable and the same.
Mail in ballots are going to be questionable, period, proving will be hard. We have the right to vote but it’s wrong to make it too easy, like doing it from home, ya gotta work to do something as important as voting.

We know that one of the arguments a lot of people put up, very loudly, during election run-up, was that Trump was lying about, or making stuff up about, the vaccine timeline. We know that he claimed vaccines were very close during debates, but the companies didn't corroborate him and in fact did kind of the opposite. We know covid and its response was necessarily a big factor in the election

No wonder literally every single thing you say or believe is wrong, you literally choose not to believe something because it's proven.
It's disgusting that you call yourself a scientist.
But also the only thing that makes you entertaining in the long term lol
Don't be so mean, he knows the truth, he knows the earth is flat and the reason he knows is because every "credible" source out there agrees it's a sphere, and if everybody agrees, that means it's wrong, duh
That's also why he does 1/4 squats. Everybody agrees that full squats are better, that's how he knows it's wrong. If you go lower than like 4" range of motion, you're going to die 25 years early due to knee cancer. We know this because nobody believes it. Except of course men of science like LWW. He knows

Yes true. Science changes all the time. I mean we see it all the time..something that was widely accepted twenty years ago is now totally different.
However, your logic is flawed in that just because the science develops that we shouldn't believe anything. We only have what we have now and then when more info comes up, we add or change that info accordingly.

It seems to me that, without conscious effort, most folks have a strong tendency to stubbornly defend their views based on intuition alone and cling to their belief for the sheer sake of “not being wrong” or “trusting their gut.” So we tend to only apply critical thinking skills to claims that we disagree with.
I am just as guilty of this anyone and I could totally be wrong about this. Just an observation.Last edited by 7Seconds; 12-02-2020 at 11:08 AM.
