Go to 19 minute mark
RIP Xbox if true. I figured Series X beefy GPU was going to be the biggest reason to cause someone to go Xbox this gen and I was (maybe still am) mad AF about PS5's limp dik GPU numbers once announced.

Intredasting.
People were upset because of the 1.72 TFLOPs difference (10.28 on the PS5 and 12 on the Series X).
Coincidentally AMD just announced the 6900 XT PC GPU (20.6 TFLOPs) which allegedly outperforms the RTX 3080 (29.7 TFLOPs) and competes with the RTX 3090 (35.58 TFLOPs).
Goes to show FP32 calculative TFLOPs numbers means horechit for gaming performance.... and might give the same results in the PS5 vs Series X benchmarks.

Embargos, they can't be anything but vague, legally.
But I could be wrong. I mean the "surprise" could be something else entirely. PS5 vs Series X performance is just my first guess being everyone is waiting on them to compare how the machines perform. I found it to be a very intriguing tease for their videos to come.

DF is kind of a chitty source for info, they tend to do the usual big video games journalism thing where they say what companies want them to say and ignore things they want them to ignore. As for comparing graphics it's utterly pointless right now, it's going to take years for developers to really push these consoles. Both can look great and it's best to just leave it at that.

Reading the interwebs most are speculating from the comment as I am around graphics performance and PS5 maybe being able to match or surpass the Series X, which would be a major shock. Nearly as many speculating a load time surprise. I expect PS5 to be faster, and am not terribly surprised if it's significantly faster, but would be surprised is Series X is faster.
LMAO, literally the only good source of objective statistic based comparison in gaming.
Jay with another retard level post. Congratulations.

The cope.
Agreed. Exciting and entertaining.
PS4 and Xbox1X had a smaller gap in Teraflops and it was the difference between game running at 720p vs 1080p in many cases, as well as better frame rates. I'd say that's more than enough difference for most people to care.
Yea, what do you take it to mean?

Says the guy who said Xbox1S is more powerful than PS4Pro. You might not agree with (and get extremely rustled) my opinions but you say things that are categorically and factually incorrect. You are the definition of retard with another clear example of your retardation displayed in post #8 of this very thread. If a guy like you called me smart I'd be worried for myself. Keep retard posting Jay.

Jay proving once again that he's an idiot ITT.
As for OP: it's a hell of a leap to automatically assume they're going to tell you that PS5 outperforms the Series X. Especially given what we already know about both systems. I have heard that the PS5 load times are insanely fast (even compared to the Series X) so it's more likely that the "surprise" is more related to just how fast those load times are.***Mariah Carey is my 10/10 Crew***

I honestly doubt it. Based on spec's alone the XSX can outperform the PS5, but that doesn't mean that it will. I'm like pretty sure they are going to look exactly the same outside of the exclusives. I think Xbox will perform better, but the PS5 will have these small conveniences that will make up for any gap, which again is extremely small. I actually met up with my friends last night after the gym and they all told me they are getting the Series X over the PS5 which was huge because they've had Playstations dating back to PS2. From what I've gathered more people are switching to Series X than the PS5. I'm assuming the brainless decision would be because of the "teraflops" which doesn't matter. But my friends are switching because of the GamePass value and Microsoft's more friendly gamer mentality. These were the same kids who were telling me the Xbox One sucked ass 7 years ago and that Microsoft was a chit company, so this took me by surprise. They also found Microsoft's marketing better than Sony's, and that the Series X seems like the most logical console for them this time around. They also mentioned my biggest gripe with the Playstation, which is the lack of a true multiplayer shooter like Halo or Gears. They agreed the PS5 has better exclusives right now, but they are like all story mode games and don't offer as much replayability that they would like. They said they are really interested in Microsoft's upcoming exclusive games and their ability to acquire studios more readily than Sony.
I seriously though might consider picking up a PS5 Slim or a Series S variant down the line just to have and maybe play some of these games everyone's been clamoring about. I have the money for it so why not.*Mechanical Engineering Crew*

Yeah, I'd be surprised if PS5 ran multiplats better, especially with RDNA2 features missing. But who knows, Sony devs could have come up with their own versions of features missing that could potentially provide more performance. Or could be that the velocity architecture really does load as fast or close to as PS5. All kinds of possibilities here so it'll be interesting to see what DF found.

AC Vallhalla just confirmed to be not native 4k on the PS5 hehe .... its upscaled 4k 60 fps.
I mean end of the day, its not the end of the world, native 4k vs sony's/console upscale 4k/checkerboard system is pretty damn good as it is .... i honestly cant tell the difference between checkerboard/native 4k.Sig line can't be a novel

This is why I avoid personal experience. Xbox is only popular in the USA. My Caribbean and Euro friend mostly get Playstation. But even so, I always had a few friends who would go the Xbox route. This year quite a few the Xbox guys are converting to PS5.
Nobody talks about or hypes the Series X here. Ps5 is all people are buzzed for. The slow leaks and controversial design have generated way more hype. I have friends who never even owned a console or PC in their life suddenly spamming my feed with ps5 news and videos.
So basically if I was judging this just from the people I know or speak to it would seem the series X would be a flop.Last edited by Coal Man; 10-30-2020 at 08:23 AM.

What? The common consensus was that ps4 had better looking games than the than XB1 despite being "significantly weaker". This isn't disputed and you know it too. So that spec difference didn't matter because they were better able to utilize its power. All the massive fights and clashes about "muh powar" meant absolutely chit in the end and it's going to be the same story again.
It's only the extreme console nerds care to run each game on difference consoles and jack off to 2 extra frames per second and how superior their game looks with literally negligible visual difference. You're better than that brah.▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Series X hitting native? That's the type of difference I'd expect given GPU numbers. Valhalla will be the main point of comparison between X and 5 at launch.
PS4 significantly weaker than XB1? lmao, you drunk boyo? You got everything backwards.
And again, sure you can not care but a 720 vs 1080 resolution difference which many multiplats saw between the two consoles is significant to me
Assuming you mean if someone wants the best graphics they should get a PC is your fact. Yes you are correct. The cope was in reference to thinking consoles don't have other appeal. Didn't know I had to explain it for you.
