This is stupid but if they dont want your business you're not gonna change their mind arguing and making a scene. I've been refused entry into clubs for having jeans on even though I literally watched them allow women into the club wearing denim jeans. They said they were gonna call the cops if I dont get out of line so I said fine and went and waited 30 minutes but got into another place. Pissed me off yeah. But they can deny service thats their right. Lolbertarians when they want and bake the cake bigot when they dont want. USA

Its risk management based on stereotyping. I know people in the restaurant industry so basically they have a few reasons why this happens.

Black people have a reputation for:
-Showing up, ordering an expensive meal, then leaving without paying.
-Showing up in a large group, people order a bunch of different things, switches seats with each other, etc. When the check comes everyone wants to argue over what they ordered and what they didn't and that the check is wrong. Servers get confused due to people swapping seats and its a huge argument.
-Doesn't tip or tips poorly. Or shows up in a large group and argues over the automatic gratuity.


I'm not saying only black people do those things but individuals in the restaurant industry certainly believe it happens at a much higher ratio with them. Management typically gets defensive after being burned a few times for a few hundred dollar tabs. At that point if you show up and aren't dressed to par and they think you might be an issue they look for a reason to refuse service.



I'm not saying its right or justified but those type of incidents happening repeatedly ^ is why schit like that happens. If that dude wouldn't have showed up in a sweater, sweatpants and tennis shoes he wouldn't have had any issues. Minority owned/managed restaurants especially don't give a fukk and will boldly refuse service based on looks alone.

There's a reason there is a dress code, to draw in people who want a nice atmosphere and who will pay a little more for it. Adhere or leave, no reason to argue it, no one there was dressed like him. Other people went there for a more upscale experience rather than going to a McDonald's. Looking like he did I bet he hadn't showered recently and smelled not so well, rather than got ready for a nice dinnerlike the restaurant is aiming for.
