And another hit and a miss.

Fellow migrants who had travelled to Europe with Aoussaoui told how he was constantly on the phone while interned on a coronavirus quarantine ship after arriving in Italy in September. Aoussaoui told fellow Tunisian migrants he wanted to leave the country as soon as possible and travel to France where he had relatives, Italy’s Il Corriere della Serra newspaper reported.

The 21-year-old had landed on the Italian island of Lampedusa – close to the coast of north Africa - in a rickety make-shift boat with about dozen other migrants on 20 September. Aoussaoui was interned on a large government rented ship along with about 50 other migrants – mostly Tunisians – to undergo a period of quarantine to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The group disembarked at the mainland port of Bari two weeks later, where he was processed and ordered to leave the country. Il Corriere della Serra reported: ‘Those who were with him [Brahim Aoussaoui] during the days of medical quarantine said that Brahim Aoussaoui spent most of his time on his mobile phone.

‘He said he wanted to go to France where he had relatives.

‘Those who knew him in those days in the repatriation centres reported yesterday to the anti-terrorism investigators that he often spoke on the phone, and was intent on reaching France.’ The newspaper added that Aoussaoui had most likely been radicalized in his hometown and left Tunisia with ‘the worst intensions’.

It reported: ‘On 20 September, when Aoussaoui arrived in Lampedusa he was on one of 28 migrants boats that arrived that day.

But imagine you come to the west, a place you've been told has unlimited opportunity and freedom, as a young Muslim man. You arrive and see rampant homosexuality, blatant societal addiction to alcohol and drugs and technology, discrimination towards men in every imaginable sphere (law, work, school, etc.), and you struggle to achieve the success you've been told is available to everyone because you are a low-skilled individual who is maybe average or below average on the IQ scale. All of these things you've been brought up being told are completely haram are shoved in your face daily and if you try to push back on literally any of them even an inch you are canceled and completely invalidated as a person in society. Meanwhile the native culture goes around self-flagellating for "imperialism" and the Crusades which happened literal centuries ago.

I'd expect hearing the Imam or Mullah or whomever preaching about the imminent downfall of the west and the need for Islamic men to rise up would probably strike a chord with you.

No attempt to justify being a phaggot terrorist, simply trying to say that the west has completely lost its cultural confidence so it's no surprise young men are brought into these extremist circles which tell them the only way to truly live a good life is by and through an extremist interpretation of Islam.

    inb4 negged to oblivion
I agree that there are many muslims who do not condone terrorist attacks, however, based on my experience as an ex-muslim and research, many muslims try to create or are part of 'ethnoreligious ghettos'. They purposefully try to create communities that are distinct (linguistically and culturally) from the national culture. Any muslims who see no problem with those ethnoreligious ghettos are IMO part of the problem, because they are huge blocks to assimilation.

One big problem is too many muslims IME are in denial about the problems. Even when they strongly condemn terrorism or ethnoreligious ghettos, they don't seem to realize the extent of the problem.

This is the kind of thing that goes on here Europe regarding the forming of ethnoreligious ghettos, and I strongly advise watching all parts...

Westernization and assimilation becomes a lot harder, when ethnoreligious ghettos are allowed to form without objection from muslims or non muslims.

Also, something that I've learned is that 'shame management' is a large part of what fuels violence. Books from James Gillian and Jonathan Fast compile research into the link between shame and violence. When we feel humiliated, disrespected, or shamed for our individual or social identity (e.g. being a muslim, being white, being black, etc) we can manage that shame in benign or aggressive ways. Muslim communities have a long history of being very bad at teaching healthy shame management, hence things like honour killings, terrorists attacks - aggression/violence is unfortunately taught as a good way of managing a sense of humiliation and disrespect.

    Book recommendations:

    Preventing Violence By James Gillian
Beyond Bullying: Breaking the Cycle of Shame, Bullying and Violence by Jonathan Fas
t (SJW stuff inside, but if you are someone who is capable of reading views you disagree with without becoming hyperemotional and Reeeeeeeeeeeing - which IME happens as often from right wingers as it does leftits - it won't be a problem for you.)

The existence of ethno-religious ghettos makes them potentially much easier to round up and deport. The French military could easily cut off all access to their banlieues and the Muslims would be fuked. The same thing makes the white middle class vulnerable in the USA.

To my knowledge, they didn't have a specific campaign to promote publishing cartoons of Muhammad, however they support the general right to satire/freedom of speech (not absolutely of course).

I don't believe that the 'elite' in France generally care about society, but IMO the good intentioned people in government are only now realizing the multiculturalism doesn't work, and there needs to be a dominant culture that is adopted by the masses, in order to unite communities. Bringing in people who don't even speak the native language is obviously a huge barrier to assimilation, which is something that is considered taboo to talk about.

I don't think that is going to happen any time soon.

That would be a PR disaster for the nation, and would likely create an international crisis where muslim countries would likely flex their power and cut off trade with France.

    Meanwhile in Bangladesh

Tens of thousands of people have marched through the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, demanding a boycott of French goods amid a row over France's tougher stance on radical Islam.

They burned an effigy of President Emmanuel Macron, who has defended cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.

Police blocked the marchers from reaching the French embassy.

Mr Macron has become a target in several Muslim-majority countries after his defence of French secularism.

He spoke out after a teacher was beheaded earlier this month for showing cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad. Paying tribute to the teacher, Mr Macron said France "will not give up our cartoons".

On Monday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also called for a boycott of French goods.

But governments across Europe have come out in support of Mr Macron and condemned Mr Erdogan's comments about the French leader. Mr Erdogan said his French counterpart needed "treatment on a mental level" for his stance on radical Islam on Saturday, prompting France to recall its ambassador to Turkey for consultations.

Think you mean swing and a miss brah, but that's incorrect too.

Says right there the dude is a migrant. Or is your point that he was radicalized in Tunisia? Does that really matter?

Literally every combination is possible: migrants who are radicalized at home, migrants who are radicalized in their host country, natives who are radicalized abroad, natives who are radicalized in their host country.

You said yourself that 'most' terrorists are radicalized as third- and forth-generation residents of some host country so by your criteria your 'narrative' is just as incorrect as mine in this case.

Just relax brah, you're doing a good job. We're all proud of you.

9/11 was an inside job as an excuse to start the war in ME. What makes ppl think the other‘terrorist attacks’ are not done for similar reasons e.g banning guns, destroying religion so ppl readily accept the new world order etc. How is every1 so simple minded?
