i put $12k into BTC because of this forum back in 2012 and 2013, held out as long as I could which ended up being the end of 2016, so right before the big pop of 2017 so basically sold after about 4 years of holding after watching my 12k worth dwindle to only about 1k....didnt want to watch my investment fall to literally nothing so decided to finally cut my losses and pulled out to pay for repairs on my car which i then ended up totaling(sweet)...then watched the huge comeback and all the fomo unfold in 2017 and everybody i knew became an obsessed BTC expert buying during the big pump, and then everybody lost all their money...and here we are again.
happy for the few of my brahs who barely put any money in that now have made a little profit and extra happy for the ones who have been continuing to put all their money into BTC over the last 3 years that can now buy a house off their profits
i still think it's somewhat of a massive pyramid scheme, artificially being inflated to make the whales more rich and i also lol @ how many different coins there are now....but i try to not be salty about it, ive made decent profit off of tesla this year so whatever, but it doesnt come anywhere close to what i could have right now if i held all my BTC from 2012Last edited by A1lthatrema1ns; 01-06-2021 at 12:47 AM.

Not gonna lie, mad jelly at you coinbrahs. Had my fun with silver a decade ago tho, on a precious metals forum watching it shoot for the moon was something else. I have seen more stories of guys who got out at exactly the wrong time, which usually means they got in for the wrong reasons. Buying high (on the exciting but shirt lived bull run) and selling low (on the merciless grind after the pop). I encourage you brahs to read up on investment strategy, and learn how to set emotions aside when buying and selling.

Bitcoin is a scam. That is a fact. No matter what the price is, doesn´t change that fact. There is lots of money to be made, sure. But Bitcoin is fundamentally flawed. Bitcoin is trash compared to certian other cryptos. Bitcoin is anti real monetarry change right now. It hinders adoption of real contenders. Bitcoin is a chit currency, lets choose a crypto that can be a decent currency at least. And pls, can yall stop spamming the front page with bitcoin threads. Whats the agenda here?
Bitcoin is anti freedom. By supporting it, you´re playing into the banks/elites hand, unironically.
Bitcoin can never become a good sustainable system. It´s flawed at it´s core. It´s a dead end that is doomed to fail. The bigger it gets, the harder it fall.

You do realize that people that can't even afford to buy 1 btc won't really make enough money off of their fractional share to have made much of a difference in their life/net worth, do you not?
Even if you bought 10 bitcoins cash. And the price moons to 100K (highly unlikely). You aren't going to be 'rich'. You aren't going to own a stock that pays a dividend. Or a stock that's expected to appreciate X amount, etc.
Blows my mind when I see people so excited over Bitcoin at this price point. Assuming a fractional share is going to set them up for life... Lmao.
They predicted that a couple of years ago and it ended up dropping to about 10K after the bull run. It'll most likely do the same again.
