    6’8 345lbs 31yo

Hey guys I’ve decided to return to the gym and a healthy lifestyle after falling into some bad habits the last 2 years.

Nutrition is something I could use some advice with. I understand calories in vs calories out and meeting my daily macros and caloric goal, but the problem I have is I’m constantly second guessing what I should be eating to drop weight effectively. I have done Keto in the past and lost 70lbs in 6 months, but as soon as I stopped the weight came flying back. I find myself hoping from a low carb eating mentality to a IIFYM mindset and I know there has to be a better way.

Any advice on macro percentages or any advice at all really would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks guys

Welcome. Start by reading the stickies. They are the threads on the top of the nutrition forum.

As Mrpb said, Read "Calculating calories and macros" sticky in the nutrition section. It will tell you everything you need to know on minimums for protein and fats, suggested rate of fat loss etc.

Then I would pick a beginner weight lifting routine from the "Workout Program" stickies. Feirce 5 is a popular one. This will help you retain as much lean mass as you can while dieting down.
