Hello everyone, I'm cutting down from 258.71lb (117.35 in Australian) and my goal is 209.5lb (96) before I start to bulk up. BF% is about 33.7 based on the online us calculator, waist is 120cm at navel and 114 at the hips. Apart from cardio I'm not lifting yet, but am looking forward to it. I want to post here to keep myself accountable and to maintain a record of how I am going. In the past 3 weeks have lost 9.6lb (4.35) and feel a lot better than I have in a long time. Only using BSC Hydroxy cut and a multi vitamin at the moment, but have some animal flex on the way to support my ankle (avulsion fracture below the achillies). Is there anything else I should do before I start the muscle building or keep on keeping on?

Height? The reason I ask is given your current stats unless you're very tall (well over 6 feet), its unlikely you will be lean enough at 96kg to start a bulking phase. I'm just trying to set some realistic expectations here.
And you should absolutely be lifting NOW. Do not wait until you lose weight to start strength training because you will lose valuable muscle mass. You need to be lifting while in a deficit to retain whatever muscle mass you currently have. The muscle building part of the journey is the much longer and more extensive piece of the puzzle, and the longer you wait to start that the worse off you're going to be. Doing what you're doing now is akin to starting a marathon from a half mile back of the starting line.Last edited by xsquid99; 10-26-2020 at 10:35 PM.
All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.
Don't be upset with the results you didn't get from the work you did not do.

Add some creatine to your supps. Not absolutely necessary but it will help and it's cheap as chips mate.
Not sure what else you mean, just get a decent routine and stay consistent. Can you specify exactly what else you think you may need before building muscle? The best personal trainer you can invest in is YOURSELF.

178 cms, and looking for a quality protein, happy to pop anything to help bring body fat down to a sensible level. Was thinking a quality amino, and other muscle support, creatine is definitely on that hit list. First months results are in and down 6.1kg. Will hit the weights tomorrow then, still cardio, or allow the weights to burn down the house?

Losing in the first few weeks will mostly be water weight. How tall are you? Unless extremely tall 200 lbs won't be low enough to go into a muscle adding phase. It's best to post a pic for better opinions. Start weight training immediately or you'll just end up a smaller version of your current self
If you don't get what you want you didn't want it bad enough
