Go to any major metro areas craigslist and click skilled labor. Jman tradies making 40-50$ and hr with 6000$ sign on bonuses and optional OT. Keep in mind the tradie business owner is probably charging 125+ an hour and making 50 himself for every hour his guys are out.

yea, idk what's up with the national salaries listed. maybe dragged down by first year apprentices and or guys that don't make it? my bro in real estate development has talked about plumbers and electricians making over 500k/ year. i'm not sure if they were independent contractors or what
hell, my cousin had 0 experience and 6 months in was making 20 an hour as a first year apprentice.
for a journeyman you're talking 4 more years of that. i would expect prob a raise to 30 by year 2 at that rate. then 40 a year later. then journeyman 45+. pretty sure my cousin also did work on the side even though it was a huge no/ no (not being licensed) and got like 100/ hr

All of the self made richest people I know started out as a tradie. Then they become self employed/grew their business or invested in real estate and grew that. Or both.
At the end of the day they end up being 'business' men because they own a business. But they all started out as a tradie in whatever industry their business is in.

tell me more
i said that's what he got paid with 0 experience. and dude is a dumb kunt. so that was bottom tier. the dumb kunt bottom tier got paid 20 an hour with 0 experience
my brother, in real estate development, was the one who was telling me how much tradies make. because he said developers called him all the time asking if he knew any tradies. and essentially, the tradies can name their price because there's such a shortage of workers

Yeah brah I’m a dumbass. No chit I read the rest of his post I’m just saying a good tradie salary making 50 an hr doesn’t earn 500k a year either
We both know the only people earning 500k a year are either specialist physicians after 10 years of intense training+ 5 years of practicing or 1/200+ tradies that own their own companies. 500k a year is VERY, VERY hard to earn in real life.

Non Union 1st year sparky cub
Anything after 40 on our current project is double time because of covid but new as **** to the company and green and I made 1600$ my first week and that was getting bent because our foreman ****ed the time sheet up for Saturday so I’m missing 8 hours of pay So about 336 pre tax ....
My next check will be 2000$+ depending on taxes next week to make up for my first week
Normally I’d be making 1-1.1k with this amount of OT but even so that’s pretty good still for being new and only 23
Yes that’s all take home

yea, hold on. i decided to text my bro to clarify. hopefully he answers, cause saturday and all that. im legit curious too. idk whether they were independent contractors but i know he knows of at least a few making that
ive told this to a few project manager dudes on here and they said the figures weren't outlandish either, but they were most likely independent contractors. i think what that means is they bounce from project to project and can have a chitload of work, as opposed to working for a company and confined to their structure

alright. it seems like the only story he remembers is a tradie that started his own company making 600k. but i know he has more stories
he's 2 jobs removed from this now. he worked for some dude building his portfolio after this. i just remember when he was at the original job, and how he would call me with all these stories at construction sites

Officecel checking in. Tradies are cool with me, and I get half of my home improvement tips from them off youtube.

I've been seeing the past in one eye and the present in the other. So, I thought I could only see patches of reality, never the whole picture. I felt like I was watching a dream I could never wake up from. Before I knew it, the dream was over.
