meh. i kept expecting it even though he was dealing.
i saw snell do this MULTIPLE times in the year when he k'd like 8 through a few innings and then never got to the 6th.
i would agree it's a pretty quick leash, but he did try to ride him. your sp has had multiple outings like this all year, he hasn't finished 6 all year. and he just gave up a hit. it's not like he didn't let him go out there
he removed him once the momentum shifted, and snell was in mostly uncharted territory
really i think it's on anderson for leaving a pitch right down the middle to mookie and then bouncing the ball in the dirt to let them tie
in any case. the rays will be better next year. they'll have a healthier pen. a few top sp prospects back and they have the #1 prospect in baseball

The Rays as an Organization basically live for nothing but ANALytics..And yes The Rays usually 99% of the time do not let the pitcher face a lineup 3 times they just don't. But sometimes (Cash) you have to take they eye test and say Dam Snell is dealing and has owned the dodgers 123 hitters all night. So If you make that move you have to 100% know that the next bullpen guy is going to be lights out..Anderson has been nothing but dog**** since the Yankee series. And Now holds the postseason record for consecutive appearances with a run scored. So this will go down as one of the dumbest move in WS history no doubt, But Cash wont get fired because basically that move was done by the organization. But nether the less The Rays offense besides some MF named Randy was ****t this series!

So i listened very, very carefully to what the Dodger players had to say about removing Snell when they did, and it baffled all of them!!
I also listened to the hosts on the MLB channel as well as FS1 and they said that it wasn't the manager( he takes the heat for it)but it is the front office and the analytic "ivy league nerds" making the decisions.
Admittedly the sabermetrics are correct 95% of the time, but the consensus was that you don't remove a hot pitcher in that moment. I am in complete agreement and Anderson was sucking all series so i knew that the Dodgers were winning after the substitution.
Congrats Dodger fans......Last edited by x-trainer ben; 10-28-2020 at 07:05 AM.

Tampa Bay Windows XP coaching philosophy is horse **** and always has been. Cash is literally just a fill in Manager. Last night proved he makes ZERO calls for this team. Analytics bull**** ruins baseball. I miss guys going 9 innings, ****ing men were men back then.
But honestly, im not mad about the removal of snell. Im mad at bringing in Nick Ander-choke. The guys given up a run every time he came into the game since the stros series.
Also, lettuce be real. Pulling Snell doesnt mean **** if you can get more than 1 run from the only guy thats gotten runs for us damn near the entire playoffs.
Rays had a helluva run from a strong pitching staff top to bottom and the emergence of arozarena. Sucks to see it end the way it did.Buccaneers/Lightning/Rays/The U
