    Eric's Return To Powerlifting

I've decided that it's time to make my return to powerlifting after 12 years of not doing chit. I am making a come back and I will come back the biggest and strongest I've ever been. My goals are to bench 275lbs and deadlift 500lbs within 1 year weighing 180lbs. Right now I'm 237lbs and have been dieting for 2 weeks. Need to lose 57lbs to get down to 180lbs. I will be training 4x a week. Im focusing on nothing else but training. I also want to pull 500lbs in honor of my grandfather who passed away 8 years ago. He always knew I was a strong person inside and out. I will make him proud!

If you were pretty strong back then, take the first few workouts easy because your baseline strength will be higher yet your ability to recover will not be. If you go pretty hard on your first few workouts, the DOMS will be unimaginable
    Best lifts:
    Bench press: 315x4, 345x1
    Squat: 465x1
    Strict press: 185x8
Deadlift: 405x10 (dead stop w/ straps)

Yeah I hear you on that. Im just going up 10lbs a week on deadlifts and go up 5lbs a week on bench. I need to learn good technique/form before I start training heavy. Plus, I need to strengthen my right rotator cuff due to tearing it in a fight 10 years ago. It's healed 100%. But, very weak.

I start my training tomorrow. I know I made this journal 3 weeks ago. I've been too busy over this period of time. But, everything is done and good. I can finally start making comeback.

    Tuesday - deadlift day
    Wednesday - bench day
    Friday - legs
    Saturday - accessory day

That's my schedule for now. Im doing whatever it takes to achieve my goals. Blood, sweat, tears, and sacrifice are still familiar to me after 12 years of being away from this great sport. Its time to get to work!
