    5am breakfast/workout?

Long story short, I work an hour away from my house so I’m in a huge time crunch. I wake up at 5:10am and hit the gym at 5:30am. I eat 2 pieces of toast before I hit the weights. What do you morning warriors eat/make in the morning that’s extremely simple and FAST for a post??? Thank you

I wake up at 7:00, eat at 7:10, and do home workouts at 10:00 every single day. The meal I'm making is super quick and simple. Boil some water, pour it over 100g of oats, and microwave them until they get super soft and almost fall apart, gotta keep an eye on it since oats tend to foam up when heated for a long time without a stir. Add a pinch of salt, stevia, and 60g of egg whites. The egg whites cook without further microwaving due to the heat of the oats. Egg whites make the oats more fluffy and milky (as well as cool them down slightly) and then add a portion of protein powder (30g). The end result is super creamy, thick yet kinda liquidy, sweet porridge/oats that I love and can't ever get enough of.

If that were my schedule I’d either drink a protein shake or just train fasted with some amino acids or something... maybe a banana beforehand too

I just have some Folgers and out the door. Whatever allows you to have the most productive training sessions is what you should do.

Experiment. Maybe try a banana. Banana and some yogurt. Maybe just a cup of coffee.

I use to fast and go but now when the workout routine I have, I eat a little bit before hand because I found myself getting light headed and upset stomach.

Night before, I usually prepare a small mason jar with half cup over night oats, frozen blueberries or strawberries, and only enough almond milk to go above the oats to soak in. Let it sit in the fridge over night then in the morning I take it out, take the lid off and throw it in the microwave for maybe 30-60 seconds while I finish getting ready. ( I don't like cold oatmeal ) Then I either eat it quick at home or when I get to the gym. If not watching calories, you can also add chia seed/yogurt to it after microwave time if you do that.

Otherwise just a simple banana or other piece of fruit + coffee.
Progress, not perfection. One day at a time.

My favorite breakfast before an early morning workout is a banana with some peanut butter. It feels light on the stomach but provides some you some energy

You want a intra shake with carbs, electrolytes and eaa in it (+ fluids in general)

Start sipping intra 60-45 mins pre gym and finish the drink at the start of your session

Hardboiled eggs are my go-to snack in the morning, prepped the night before.
All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.
