The new Uncharted movie, Holland is an interdasting choice, but he fits a younger drake
Marky Mark is sully lmao ... That's an inspired choice, but I was hoping it was J Jonah Jameson... Spidey and him together would have been epic.

In b4 "sjw" jerkoffs
Its a prequel, which is why both are younger. Story based on Magellan, so its not a rehash. Its been in developmental hell for years, not expecting much. But Holland looks good as Drake
I wanted Bruce Campbell or Powers Boothe before he died to play SullyPSN E-Go

Holland's a skinny little twink; this is stupid. Reminds me of when they tried to get Tom Hiddleston on tech for the King Kong movie.
Chit, you can pretty much see the tech wrecking his hairline right there.
Also, Brie Larson is the biggest bitch on the planet, but her tits in that movie are ****ing phenomenal.FA Crew

Hard pass.
It's already been done to perfection, Hollywood:
This just looks like Solo crossed with Sahara.
Agreed, and it's not because it's "Young Drake," either.
Hollywood does this sh*t all the fukking time these days with casting where legit cosplayers look the part better than whoever they roll out for known characters - regardless of age. All it ends up doing is take anyone who is familiar with the original character out of the movie/show, while the people who couldn't give a damn are just there asking themselves why they aren't watching a better movie.
Using the Solo example again, they screwed themselves right out of the gate by even entertaining the idea that they could find someone who could fill Harrison Ford's shoes, let alone a young actor. What they set out to make was a product that had to conform to a preexisting, beloved character and would be judged by its inability to achieve its nigh impossible task instead of just making anything completely new.
And yeah, it's not just YA Novel Drake that's the only questionable casting choice when they have bloody Mark Wahlberg as someone with as much personality as Sully.
"WICKED SMAHT!"
No idea. Probably some twat higher up thought that since Uncharted is so "cinematic" that they should just make a movie.
Except, frankly, Uncharted as a movie isn't exactly going to be blowing anybody's minds on its story alone, and this casting isn't going to have the collective charisma to drag it up from the dregs of, "Another Unnecessary Video Game Movie."
And it's not like anyone's betting on Hollywood at the moment, whereas video games are rising real estate with all the recurring lockdowns.
The idea sounds more like a The Producers style scam more than any sincere effort to make a movie that would even turn out to be a winner with how much they probably spent on the casting alone.I will stand firm, I refuse to kneel - The fury in me is divine

how are people upset with this, he was easily the most expected as sensible choice. nathan drake isn't arnold, twink mode is fine for that character, especially a younger version. drake is more about agility than strength. holland is also naturally athletic and can do a lot of stunts on his own.

Tom Holland works as the dorky goober teenage Spider-Man, but Nathan Drake is the charismatic lady's man scoundrel with a heart of gold - aka Indiana Jones/Han Solo 2.0 -, so unless they manage to turn it around (unlikely), it's bound to fail.
I get that they're trying to bank on the the mentor-disciple dynamic they had with Tony and Peter and to remake it with Sully and Nathan, but I would be surprised if it worked. Plus video game movies.

uncharted is very similar to indiana jones but i don't think the character is. indiana jones is the gruff, strong-silent type, and drake is cocky/wisecracking which i think holland can pull off. drake is supposed to be a lot more high energy and i think that's what holland is.

I would encourage anyone concerned about this casting to watch The Devil all the Time. Definitely shows that Holland is a talented actor and can play more than the goofy spiderman nerd role. He will do fine as a young Nathan Drake.
I call it "Celebration". It's sexual, and violent...
