Think my gpu just died..
im sitting here connected to my motherboards video and on one monitor like a loser..
anyone know what a good budget or midrange gpu is?
had a gtx 680 for years, it broke.
so was using my cousins old r9 270x gpu which just died(apparently)
something like this seems in my price range and seems to sht on my old gpu benchmark wise.

I'm not gonna be gaming THAT much nowadays. I play csgo mainly and looking forward to diablo 4. So not the highest requirements..
but I watch a lot of twitch lately and want to be able to play a ton of vids at once and not have it skip or stutter. Also want to always have dual monitors of course.
Was thinking of grabbing more ram as well since I have 8gb and im a big multitasker and notice I max out my usage a lot on task manager.
Really dont want to buy a new mobo as well but who knows.

If you need a new GPU and your budget is ~$250, I would advise either the GTX 1660 SUPER, or the RX 5600 XT. Depends on if you wanna go NVIDIA or AMD, and which games you want, but looks like the 5600 XT outperforms the 1660 SUPER in most games.
Way better than the r9 270x, per below.

EDIT: Meant to add, if you can wait 1-2 more months you can let AMD's next gen Big Navi GPUs release, along with more of NVIDIA's RTX 30 lower/mid ranged cards to maybe sprinkle out as well. Should also mean further price drops on older gen GPUs too.

The one budget card I really like is the GTX 1650. It's low profile and runs off PCI slot power w/ no external connectors, so it can fit in nearly any build, and it can eke.
out 60 FPS on 1080p for most games.
But if you're building from scratch, the "fits anywhere" part that's its biggest selling point really isn't as important any more.
I'd probably go for a 1660 Super if I was looking to max out CS GO and play Diablo 4.FA Crew

Just built two Ryzen systems and did a shart ton of research, feel free to AMA.
Not sure of your budget, but the 1660 Super is basically the best bang for the buck right now.

I just built my son's Christmas PC. Bought a B stock EVGA GTX1080 for $250. Smokes anything in that price range easily. And the card looks brand new - and has a 1 year warranty from EVGA. Unfortunately they're OOS, but my point is, if you're willing to hunt around, you can get a very nice GPU on the $250-$300 range IF willing to go used.
If you insist on buying new (which I totally get. I only bought used in this case since it's EVGA tested and came with a 1 year warranty.), a 1660 Super or 2060 KO is where I'd be looking. Ultimately it depends on your goals, resolution, etc though.
Edit: If I was building a budget system right now, this EVGA 2060 KO would definitely be on my to-buy list. for $260, tested, and with a 1 year warranty, it's hard to beat. You won't find a used 2060 on ebay for that price still. And it won't be tested and have a warranty. https://www.evga.com/products/Produc...ipset=RTX+2060

There comes a certain point where you still can't justify it unless your budget is that damn strict. That's where the RX580 is. It has been a great lower end card for a long damn time now It's time is over brah. Sorry. It can't compete with cards now costing not much more at all.
IE: 1660 Super. It's not much more at all and 20-30% better than an RX580 depending on title. Look around enough and you can get a 1660 Super for $60-$80 more. (Brand new.) If you can't move things in the budget for that or save up a tiny bit more then sure. Otherwise, buying an RX 580 is goofy at this point.
