Is this a cause for concern?

I have no idea if this is harmless, so curious to see if anyone else experiences the same thing as I do.

I hear noises coming from my ribcage when I move in certain ways. I would describe the noises as a "ripping" or "crackling" sound, almost like velcro. I can hear these sounds when I do a backbend, twist side to side, or move my arms back in a row-like motion. I can only hear it in a quiet room, and there's zero pain with it.

Don't know how long I've had it, but noticed it a few months ago and still notice it. Is this normal?

Muscle tightness, if u experience it in twisting motion it's probably tightness in erector spinae / musculus multifidus.
Tight muscle can restric the motion of your bones, when you twisting and forcing to create more range of motion your muscles stretching and relieving that tightness. Try to stretch them everyday being "twisted" and in "cat's back" yoga position.
