A close look reveals that Gracie family in general were big cowards, and Royce won because people Gracies agreed to face knew next to nothing about submissions.

First UFC was basically an infomercial for BJJ Gracie schools business. They carefully avoided anyone who knew both submissions and striking at the same time. The idea was to have Royce choke out a few big guys that didn’t know what RNC or an armbar was, and make money.

Conor, RDA and Dustin are pretty solid wins. Khabib hasn't really faced any top tier level wrestlers who uses it. To be fair to Khabib there really aren't many in lightweight. Kevin Lee and Gilespie are probably the best wrestlers in that division but are ranked way too low. I know Tibau was a long time ago and dude was basically the mini prime Vitor on creatine but unfortunately there is nobody really like that in this division.

Yeah, I’ve seen posts like this for other fighters for decades on Sherdog and so on, then when a guy looses, and GSP and JJ WILL lose again if they keep fighting, suddenly the mob moves on to newer undefeated fighters and claims them to be GOAT.

Honestly, Jones lost his last fight, and if he looses a few more, suddenly people will move him down in GOAT rankings. People’s memory is short.

The sole reason for his hypocrisy is Anderson's image. He doesn't do anything else bad outside the cage, hes a nice guys, smiles, doesn't trash talk etc.
So people forget hes been on drugs for most of his fights. Imho he doesn't even enter into a GOAT conversation because of this.

Do I know anything about combat sports? Yes, I train regularly and seriously at a very good MMA gym with pros. Am I trolling? No. Was into MMA way before UFC 1. Watch a youtube where someone put together all the top MMA fighters answering the question of who is #1 pfp and GOAT etc., About 99% of them said Fedor. What he brought to MMA evolution and how he faced HWs while himself being a natural 205er is worthy of admiration. Someone who doesn’t cut weight deserves extra credit and then some.

Also, steroids dramatically improve the fighter, just watch Vitor, getting caught one time instantly and permanently disqualifies one from any GOAT discussion.
