I’m a nerd when it comes to game tape and I’ve watched all his comparable Vick,Rg3, Randall Cunningham and Tim Tebow. Is he an electrifying athlete yes but compared too all the QBs I’ve seen he has worst arm talent then Tim Tebow. He can only throw to his TE and slot wide receivers, he under throws Marquise Brown a lot who would be a top 10 WR on any other team and a top 5 WR on the Chiefs. As a thrower of the football I simply do not see it, he can barely throw for 200 yards in the game.

I will agree with this, he is the worst pocket passer I’ve ever seen.
Even his throws to the running backs under ten yards away aren’t on the money
Nfl QB’s throw the ball before the receiver is out of their break most of the time, but he waits way too long"Stop sitting back saying yeah man, I wanna be this, I wanna be that, grab your phucking nuts and be it" -Greg Plitt

But who was Kyler Murray? Fun to watch though and I'm rooting for the kid, but he's looking like a poor man's Michael Vick. Big win for them last night but his passing is terrible.

No you don't have to be elite throwing, because he contributes so much with his legs both in directly but also in terms of changing the defence to manage that which opens up the passing game and running lanes for the backs
I agree if Lamar could not run he would be one of the worst QB in the league, but he can and so he's damn effective used right. His throwing is not Tebow bad though, his deep ball is actually pretty good (particularly in the centre of the field), and his red zone passing is solid. He is also good at improvising with side arm throws and throwing on the run.
Its mainly just throwing outside the numbers while stationary in the pocket that really sucks6'1, 205 lbs

Lamar Jackson has gone from the NFL’s most productive quarterback in Empty formations in 2019 (53.0 total EPA) to the league’s least productive quarterback in Empty 2020 (-11.5 total EPA), per Sports Info Soltuons. When you subtract those plays from his stat line, his 2019 and 2020 are basically identical…
Defenses seem to be blitzing more when the Ravens empty out the backfield and Lamar just hasn’t reacted well in the face of that pressure. It appears he’s pressing a little too much. Instead of taking easy options underneath, he’s going straight into scramble mode and looking to get outside the pocket.
And last year, Lamar was one of the league’s best quarterbacks against the blitz overall, earning an 86.0 grade from PFF on those plays.
This year, it’s been a combination of factors leading to the bad results out of Empty: Lamar is pressing a bit too much, the Ravens lack a receiver capable of consistently winning in the short and intermediate areas of the field and Greg Roman hasn’t been able to adjust to the way defenses are playing Baltimore’s pass game.

That weird side arm motion does him no favors. But at the same time, the Ravens are hurting his ability to grow as a thrower. Same as Kyler. Both throw like toddlers because they aren't being coached to throw the ball. They're run first QBs. They will never be like Cam "British Broadcasting" Newton or Russel Wilson if they're never forced to throw the ball more than run.

Maybe I'm putting too much emphasis on his Mon. night game where he completed 9 of 24 passes for 188 yds. And take away the big 80 yd. td pass and his stats would look that much worse (and even that throw was slightly off and more credit should be given to Kirk for that incredible athleticism and effort). But what's more disturbing is that he already has 6 picks this season."For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
