What types of people get divorced after 10+ years?

I don't understand why people get divorced after being together for so long. Misc enlighten me, please?

Gold digging women will marry someone for financial stability that they have little in common with. That never lasts. Eventually she'll get bored and move on to someone she shares more common interests with. Usually one of her exes.

People change. People get married for the wrong reasons. People are unhappy for years and finally pull the pin. People don't try to make it work when it gets tough. People do something fukked up that kills the marriage.

Many stay together for the kids, and then divorce once the kids go to college. I've seen a ton of older women at my gym on the cawk carousel once they divorce their husbands. Many are on the cawk carousel with the young guys at the gym.

I think a big part of it depends on what age the ten year span consists of.

For a lot of folks who are married from 20-30 I believe their hearts were in the right place early on, but they had NO IDEA who they were as people. The person they were at 20 is nothing like they were at 25, and certainly not 30. Relationships and people change.

If two folks gave it 10 years, tried their asses off to make it work, but ultimately decide being married to each other isn’t what makes happy then they are idiotic to stick together and be unhappy / settle for the next 50+ years of their life.

A lot of people realize how different things are when they have kids. It's one thing to be compatible as a couple, but raising kids brings in how each person was raised, and many have different ideas and/or values.

I deal with a lot of people's personal chit at work (insurance related). It's even weirder to see when people in their 50s-60s get divorced. Sometimes it's as simple as someone wants to move and the other doesn't, but definitely weird to see.
