Test drove the new Range Rover Westminster edition (pics)

Pulled up to the Range Rover dealership and told the salesman I was just window shopping until this one caught my attention. Took it out for a spin and really liked it. Very smooth ride really makes you feel like a boss when driving it.

Haven't driven a G Wagon so I can't compare but has anyone here driven both that can chime in?

G-wagen drives like a bus since it's actually meant for off road and utility use. Range Rovers are just for MOGGING poorcels now, not actually going off road. Their on road manners are much better.

The salesman was telling me the same thing however I thought he was just blowing smoke since they're competitors. Let's be honest though people hardly take these type of cars off roading and are just for status. Like the way G Wagons look but comfort > looks.

They are dumb as fukk, but at least they are real SUV's with a real utilitarian design. Triple locked, real axles, and built like a bank safe.

And the point is the same as any other vehicle that isn't a Toyota Corolla. MOGGING poorcels, brodie. How often are you tracking your corvette vs. how often are you putting through traffic at the speed limit MOGGING?

There are 20 year old g-wagens with literally 100+ codes going for $40k at dealers srs. Not really sure why the used market is so strong since they are definitely pretty useless at that point.

I have a 2011 sport. No wiring or suspension problems. The hood latch has a sensor in it went bad and periodically made the alarm go off. $60 5 mins swap out and good to go.

Yes. It’s like a 9k fix when it goes out (so I’ve heard). Over 100k no problems. Most likely gonna sell it with in the next 6 months. Super comfortable ride and you can fit 4-16oz beers in the console cooler.

yup-get ready to fork out some dough for simplest maintenance and parts once the warranty expires. my neighbor got himself a 2015 brand new; no issues at all..... then the warranty expired and like clock work, problems started happening and it started to add up fast. he still loves it but it's expensive to maintain
