Looks like you have to start from the bottom, which makes it pretty worthless IMO. Also, one plate horn isn't going to let most people load up nearly enough weight.

The weight horn limitation seems like a big issue. I do think it'd be possible to create some sort of simple stand cheaply (such as in the second video) to place it on for the purpose of starting the lift at the top.Originally Posted by radrd

These homemade belt squats setups are just an exercise in futility. You'd think it would be simple to re-create but they're not. They're either a total pain in the ass to set up, you can't hit depth or you can't load enough weight or all 3. I bought the Bells of Steel v2 and am pretty impressed with it and id recommend people do the same.
