Any good caffeine replacement for early morning shifts?

Hi guys I'm looking to quit caffeine again. Can anyone recommend a power breakfast to replace caffeine? Used to drink either 2 red bulls in the morning or a monster but I want to quit caffeine so no coffee either. My anxiety is getting worse which is why I'm quitting caffeine.

My mornings I'm probably going to substitute the energy drinks with a power shake consisting of 2 cups of milk, 1/2 cup of oats, 2 cups of protein chocolate powder, a tablespoon of peanut butter, and a banana. Thats a power breakfast right there but I will rotate it with 6 egg whites and a banana for the breakfast. I need something to wake me up and get me powered up for the day with energy as I work at a fast paced area

You’re going to need to account for the added calories.

Why not just switch to decaf? That’s what I did...

You'd be surprised how decaf tricks your mind into think you've just has real coffee. Lol. I agree with this and occasionally throw a cup of decaf in if I'm craving coffee in general.

Keep in mind decaf still contains some caffeine. Decaf espresso sometimes has ~15 mg of caffeine per shot.

One study analyzed 16-ounce (473-ml) cups of drip-brewed decaf coffee from nine US chains or local coffee houses. All but one contained 8.6–13.9 mg caffeine, with an average of 9.4 mg per 16-ounce (473-ml) cup. In comparison, an average 16-ounce (473-ml) cup of regular coffee packs approximately 188 mg of caffeine (12).

The researchers also purchased Starbucks decaffeinated espresso and brewed coffee and measured their caffeine content.

The decaf espresso contained 3–15.8 mg per shot, while the decaf coffee had 12–13.4 mg of caffeine per 16-ounce (473-ml) serving.

While the caffeine content is lower than that of regular coffee, it’s still present.

Afaik it's just because the process can not remove all caffeine. It can only remove most of it.

Residue might make it worse though.

I swear 24 oz of water off the top and a quick stretch/full body sorta warmup that takes about fifteen minutes is the best thing for waking up, personally, caffeine and a cigarette sholl pushes that first chit out tho

A chocolate bar has about the same amount or more if dark chocolate and really 15mg is not going to affect you much. A cup of decaf is generally 2-5 mg

The article I just quoted contains links to several scientific studies that have found higher numbers, around 7 mg per 8-ounce (236-ml) cup.

When I used to drink decaf it was always from espresso machines. The study cited found that decaf espresso contained 3–15.8 mg per shot.

Personally I can definitely notice most decaf still has significant caffeine in it. I tend to avoid dark chocolate too. But it's not just caffeine that gives dark chocolate its stimulating effects.

As you might know caffeine sensitivity can vary a lot from person to person.

What are you actually trying to replace the caffeine with, would be my first question. Like what are you trying to get out of the food consumed? No caffeine? Alternative form of it?

Usually I have one double espresso in the morning. This gives me a nice boost for my day until about 5 pm.

There's one place I can have a decaf in the afternoon without getting too stimulated. But in two other places I have learned to avoid it. These are double shots cappuccinos.

Why I get so stimulated from dark chocolate really puzzles me. Even 5 grams of 90% gives me a strong boost that lasts longer than caffeine. The boost is too strong for my liking.
