because your bill is going to be $120 instead. restaurants operate on super low profit margins and by letting servers earn their own money basically, they are able to give you lower prices on food. tipping gives you the option to pay less

$3-10 at the counter if I feel like it, regardless of food cost
$1 to a bartender per drink unless it's some ****gytime complicated cocktail, then $2.
$5-15 for delivery. Can't believe people tip for delivery based on % of meal cost. Literally could be a bag of food that cost you $150 or a bag of food that cost you $25. Either way they show d up to the place, grabbed a bag, drove it to you, and dropped it off. Tip based on delivery distance only. 2 miles? $5. 6 miles? $10-15
