I've posted this in responses to people a couple of times, but here's a public service announcement to anyone that's missed the memo, a lot of people have made this mistake at some point including me years ago:

Tinder has a hidden ranking system. If you swipe right on everyone, your ranking goes down and Tinder will stop showing your profile to any decent or hot girls, and eventually Tinder will hardly show your profile to anyone at ALL. Only swipe right on pieces of ass you'd actually hook up with and think you have a shot of matching with, don't blindly swipe right.

Getting matches increases your ranking. The more you swipe right, and the more you fail, the lower your ranking gets.

I'd imagine other services like Bumbl, Hinge, or whatever likely use similar algorithms to Tinder.

It probably helps to stop bots for one thing, and desperately thirsty males who set up an autoclicker or some chit to just keep swiping right.

This is true, but also, no matter how successful your profile is, eventually Tinder will start to hide profiles in order to entice you into buying their Gold membership or w/e the fuk it's called.

The real solution is to delete your Tinder account once every few weeks & start over. The first week that your account is active always brings in the highest amount of matches. So once it goes stale, just delete and start again.

It works both ways boyo. High ranked profiles swiping your profile brings you up. If they dont then you go to Tinder hell. This was happening over a year ago as well.

I didn't start using Tinder until hoes were already starting to try to use it as a dating platform. I can only imagine what the golden era was like.

tl;dr - Registered account in 2017 for some trivial question or some sales order, was lazy and made a generic name combining my own and my (then) girlfriend. Never anticipated being active on the forums years later. This account is tied to my primary email address and I can't re-register (without making a new email, and cbf).

Someone told me last time this came up that this is the Misc equivalent of getting your ex's name tattooed on you, lol.

i was under the impression that frequently deleting your account placed you on the shadowban list?

When I used Tinder back in the stone ages, I only would swipe right on attractive black females. Would get like a 75% match rate, so maybe their algorithm was biased? Serious.
