You have a house call of $445.00 due in account ending in 4891. Fidelity reserves the right to meet margin calls in your account at any time without prior notice.
You have a margin call of $25,701.23 due today in account ending in 4891. Margin calls occur when security requirements exceed the amount of equity in your account. Fidelity reserves the right to meet margin calls in your account at any time without prior notice.
I've never been margin called before. I thought I could just leave securities in margin. What is the difference between a house call and a margin call?
So my trading acct had value of $105,986 and my total equities were valued at at $129,174. Couldn't I keep that extra stuff on margin and just pay interest?

Why even clone when Ma has been as big as he is for as long as he has, could just do it old school.
Find a dozen body doubles, begin a multi-year reprogramming process on them.
Rather than roll the dice on an unpredictable actor they have a puppet.
Also cloning doesn’t speed up the aging process. But maybe they’re playing chess and I’m stuck here on checkers.

I just made the most absolutely retarded rookie mistake ever. Sold my GME puts at market, didn't pay attention to the bid ask spread, literally threw away $170 just flushed it down the toilet then got mad and bought a tesla call and lost another 100, only lost on it because I sold 1 ****ing minute before it rose back up I'm an idiot and should not be trading

Hello, my name is Rey and I have a margin addiction, semi-srs. I know myself and I can already tell this will be an issue.
Btw, limit orders with margin is boss. Filled from $26 PLTR, more set for $25.50 and $25.00 if we break that threshold, can drum up some cash if we get below that.
Does anyone use margin for 3-5 day swing trades?
Here's what I'm thinking, I believe there is almost a certainty that PLTR will 2x in 12 months. If I leverage up to about 120% of cash value of portfolio as a general level, but see a temporary dip in the price, say it hits $30 and then bounces down to $25. Load up on margin at $25, set TP at $30, and then reload next time there is a relative dip of 10-20%. (Even if I miss the stock rise to $40, wait for it to pullback 10-20% from whatever level in the future) essentially the floating/adjustable margin may never be used, but it's an option to flex when things seem favorable for a quick relatively free 10%-30% gain off a temporary dip.
The underlying assumption however has to be that the stock is for the foreseeable 2-3 year future only going up with some brief pullbacks and periods of consolidation.

jeebus...
As convenient as margin is, there are a ton of ways to legit fukk yourself over with it. Look at Harry, he's getting margin called because he doesn't fully understand how it works, and over extended himself. If you get caught with your pants down while on margin, you can get royally fukt. You could face forced liquidation of stocks, before you even have a chance to free up enough funds."It won't get better, just different."

bought more TSM today while they're down, I'm up 30% in the past month on them and I think they'll keep growing earnings with their new 5nm chips, which literally every semiconductor company will be using soon
"Demand for chips has surged. Best-in-class and largest chip contractor, TSMC, has illustrated this significant uptick in semiconductor demand with an exciting earnings report that revealed the sector's bright future. The company is working on an atomic scale that no other manufacturer can match, with 20% of its Q4 revenue being driven by 5nm chips. Intel is falling behind the innovative curve that TSMC is setting. Intel is currently working on manufacturing 7nm transistors, putting them at least 3 years behind TSMC's capability.
TSMC announced in its earnings yesterday that it would be spending $25 to $28 billion to further develop its advanced chip manufacturing to keep up with swelling demand. The company released record quarterly results on Thursday with 22% YoY sales growth and 33% YoY EPS appreciation illustrating substantial margin expansion. Its biggest topline drivers of 2020 were smartphones, high-powered computing, and IoT devices. The biggest and baddest chip innovators like Nvidia and others utilize TSMC's cutting-edge manufacturing."
