I really need to look into puts and calls. Does anyone have good in depth guides on dipping into trying them? I understand the general concept of them, but actually setting them up in etrade is awkward AF and scares me. I'm moving up to some hefty money and probably going to start a penny log/ life log. But the OTC is only super hot in certain periods of the year and I want to become a full time day trader. Also have a td ameritrade account with 1200 in it but its program is even more mind boggling to me. Going to be youtubing on it for a while. Reps to anyone with links.

Selling options is how you make money. Theta gang is where it's at. Selling premium is much easier to make money.

What do you, and anyone else here, think is a solid entry point to actually hold AMD? I'm tempted to sell some puts for 12/4 @ $75. Not sue how this acquisition will play out. FWIW it wont be finalized until late 2021

AMD has more than doubled over the last year. Obviously it could continue to sky rocket, but it's hard to think of anything in that range as a solid entry point.

Not trading related but reorganized my retirement fund into almost exclusively tech funds. Short term they may decrease but hard to see them not performing well over the next 20yrs.

from financial point of view.

AMD is probably maxing out price wise. pe is on the higher end something like 150+ (compared to NVDA 90ish)

most insider have it at hold and outperform at moment.

AMD and Nvidia are both up 150% for the year so there is that.

long term hold I am not sure.

it might sit at 80$ ish for long time, maybe it would be better to invest somewhere else.

I think they are just plowing through

consumer cpu market they are gaining big traction over intel and will continue to carve into market.

zen 3 is gonna be big success imo.


if the new gpu RX 6000 is on par with Nvidia rtx 3 series and most importantly AMD doesn't have supply issues like Nvidia that will be another winner.
