Jeebus... If this holds until 12/18, I'm for sure getting my shares called away lol. What's crazy is that sold $550 puts for 12/11 this morning, and up $3k... I might have to pull some last minute fukkery if things keep going up, but still have a lot of time to figure things out and see how they play out.

Potential potato question, but having trouble with expiration ITM options. Let's say my covered call for $550 is ITM at $580 on final day. If I were to, that same day, sell a put for $590 (to ensure assignment), would that basically wash everything out (ignoring premiums, just the calling/assigning of stocks)?

I think it is, for the reasons i got out. They’re not profitable, not much is known about the company due to the nature of their businesss, among other things that I’m drawing a blank on. I may buy a dip, if it gets down to $12-14, but other than that I’ll probably stay out.

So you should be netrual/slight positive if you rolled into 12/31.

I sold the $550's at like $450. Thought no way it would run up 20+% lol. I should've rolled out sooner, but at one point I was -185%, but then the next day it was -98% so I figured I would let theta do it's thing, but then the moon mission was set aside for a mars mission. Just called TDA, and they said my idea will work.

I think we rally into the new year

reasons:
1. still too many bears. stock market gods hate bears and short sellers and love to sodomize them
2. were pricing in 2021. political stability and not to be missed Janet Yellen as TS. She has gone on record saying the Fed should be able to buy stocks. Whether it happens almost doesn't matter - it reveals her thoughts on government supporting the stock market
3. low rates, free money etc.
4. watching the sectors, its a healthy market imo. QQQ has taken a back seat while financials, energy industrials lead the way. this isn't the same market as in June and August where tech was dragging along a practically dead carcass of beaten down COVID stocks.
5. 3-5 vaccine treatments now (PFE, MRNA, AZN, REGN, GILD). the end is in sight. COVID days are numbered. huge monetary and fiscal support to rocket us into recovery in 2021. huge pent up demand for products/servces. I think the economy will be booming once we get out of this terrible year.

It'll definitely be interesting to see how 2021 goes. I agree with a lot of what you said and am cautiously optimistic at the moment.

But with us at ATH's how much of that optimism is already priced in? You'd think at some point the long term impact of covid to the economy would pull us back some more but hell maybe not and to da moon we go.
