Also Khabib looks physically stronger than Justin. I've seen it said many times that Justin has wrestling in his back pocket in case he needs it, but; who is going to be the better wrestler? The man who practices and utilizes it religiously, or the man with the resume and rarely uses it?

Khabib lost one round his entire career and that's from a cheating Irishman
Gaethje has never defended against a chain wrestler, he's been shot on once or twice a fight and then they give up after he defends it. Khabib is gonna shoot, and shoot, and shoot, round after round after round. I won't be surprised if gaethje blocks every take down shot in the first round. But he will be a changed man in the following rounds.
Gaethje also has his american wrestling techniques coded into his instincts. When ever he has someone takes him, his goal is to not land on his back, so he poses up and tries to get the other person off balance. This isn't gonna work with Khabib, he exposes his neck too much and khabib will be fckning with his wrists too much.
And the quote from khabib should have gaethje staying up at night in a fit of anxiety
"“I will take him to the deepest ocean and drown him.”Fck u james

Haven't seen Khabib's early fights.
GSP was incredibly smooth taking guys down when they weren't expecting it but could also grind a guy down to the mat as well (he lost some explosiveness after the knee surgery though).
I think he would struggle to mount much offense from the top/keep some of the bigger WW's down today.
Khabib is the most effective "relentless grappler" I've seen. Once he gets a hold of you, you're always on the defensive and expending energy and eventually of course he gets you down and is able to control and batter his opponents with an unmatched level of effectiveness. He's evolved to the point where in a five round fight it's highly unlikely any LW will survive all 25 minutes if he is hungry for the finish.

Can he beat Khabib? Yes.
Will he beat Khabib? Probably not.
Khabibs style is one of those things that really cant be stopped outside of a solid strike putting him on the back foot. If Justin cant land something big and limit Khabibs mobility or hurt him, then we can expect a lot of boring fence pushing and takedown after takedown attempt. I really hope Justin can catch him and let us see how he reacts to adversity, but I say that everytime.
Khabib has the ability to make the most exiting fighters in the world boring, and I expect he will bore us all again by smothering Justin like he has everyone else.
Hes amazing at what he does, but his style is just zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzFor every man, there is a sentence, a string of words, that has the power to destroy him

Khabib said something interesting.... wrestlers tend to try a take down and do it a couple of times before giving up, but he never stops.
It sounds logical and easy to just keep shooting takedown after takedown but the fact is that it is incredibly difficult and straining to keep doing it over and over again. The physical power you need to keep trying and discipline to not give up that strategy is mind blowing. Khabib has done it repeatedly and repeatedly where he simply wears you down. People overlook how advanced his stamina and power is to keep doing that ****. DC did it one or twice on Stipe before giving it up, but Khabib must have shot countless of times in only a single fight, even when failing in most attempts, he will eventually get you to the ground. Al Iaquinta and Conor both stuffed some of his attempts but it just doesn't end. It is not as hard to stop the shots as it is to stop his pace.
I do not think anyone can take his wrestling. Just like Dustin said mid fight "can't get this ****er off of me" and that is the problem, he just exhausts you beyond belief.
Khabib via 3rd round submission.
