lmao feels
I recently took up running for literally this reason. I hate running. Can't stand cardio. But was bored and needed a new hobby, so said fuqit and registered for a marathon on 9/11. Honestly feels pretty good to start my mornings off with a run, but I still hate running. Just feels absolutely miserable, but normally feel pretty decent the rest of the day and still lift in the evenings.
Also registered for some online certificate program from San Diego State. Already got my masters so no point getting another one, but "Forensic Psychology" sounded cool so why not. Gonna be around $2500 though so not inexpensive.
And I'm pretty good at Clash of Clans.

my fkn dad. Everytime I see him he's saying he ordered another 1000 of 5.56 or 7.62. And always says it's some good stuff at over $1 a round lmao he has no idea what good stuff is.
And now he's eyeing another 20" SCAR, already has a regular SCAR 17 he's had for years and only shot once. There's gotta be a point where a enough is enough haha

Places like Academy have great prices but they don't have stores everywhere. None here.
Other than Cabela's I have never seen cases of ammo for sale in a store in Maine. Online is really the only option for me. SGAmmo was my go-to until he stopped selling to Maine which really sucks.
Really glad I grabbed 3k of x39 from SG when I did.

good luck dave man, forensic psychology sounds cool, but also very detailed. unaware though. got a "time" you're shooting for on the marathon?
i should do more cardio, but being stuck in a mask/face covering at the gym just means i'm going to waterboard myself. no thanks jeff. Also too much a pansy to run outside in the winter, no thanks jeff. It hurts to breathe and not trying to take a spill bc of slick sidewalks.
also, nobody is smiling when they're running, so it's not fun, ha.
in. and makes sense, the big mama's need the big hooks (innuendo perhaps???) and no big hook will ever be snag freethe above post is not serious and is for entertainment purposes only.
Thanks for your time.

Agreed. Even though I just spent too much on 500 rounds of 9mm, but I only did that because I was down under 500 rounds left. No plans to buy anymore right now. Also haven't been shooting in forever it feels like, not as fun when you know each trigger pull is around $1.
Exactly. I have no interest in becoming a collector. He's convinced ammo and guns will be one of the few things that will always hold value. So he looks at em like investments. A lot of old folks probably are like him, which enables these prices to continue.

I mean, guns are a really great, basically textbook definition of, a durable good. A decent gun purchased at a fair price, especially in recent years with such great prices and availability, is going to retain a large % of its value (worst case) for a long time, with basically 0 maintenance required. Ammo bought when it was cheap is basically the same.

I don’t think many people care about saving an extra $20-60 for a 1000 rounds if they want it.

Well also notice that the point of the hook is held within the body of the rubber worm, unexposed. This greatly helps it slip through the weeds.
I am glad to have shown you the Texas rig. It is practically a magic bullet for finding fish in the weed where they like to lurk.

Thread makes me thankful I get most the rounds I shoot for free. Have a personal stack of around 1000 rifle couple hundred pistol and under a hundred or so shells but that's it. More than enough to arm the family in a SHTF situation.
I like psychology and I like forensics so it all should be interesting at least. Literally around 10 years ago I ran a marathon and got around 9min/mile, so as long as I can stay under 10/mile I'll be happy (should be doable with my hate for running lol)
I also live right by the beach in Southern California so running outdoors I can at least see some HBBs and enjoy the views. Would not be doing it if it was a colder climate. Also yeah masks are absolutely terrible. I cannot stand these fat fuks that don't workout that are all "Masks don't harm your ability to breathe at all!" like really? Just because you haven't taken a full deep breath in years doesn't mean we all want to feel that way too."If in my say 80 years on earth I do more help than damage, then I feel complete."

Mags are still cheap and readily available. Pmags and glock mags sold for $100+ in the past. It's your fault if you aren't stocked up on them. The only other thing I would be buying is parts that are prone to break(recoil springs, extractors, BCG's, etc). Ammo prices are bad now and there hasn't even been a discussion with Biden on legislation at the highest level yet. 5.56 has sold for over $1 per round during not as bad times. I see it getting close to $1.50-$2 per round at it's peak. It took years, not months, for 22lr to recover. History always repeats itself

Now that we can't tell people to buy ammo and more ammo instead of ____, this is exactly right
ALL SPARE PARTS and a comfortable number of magazines (likely not as many as you think)
Don't be one of those idiots I've encountered before going all hurr durr about how you'll always be able to buy buffer springs, takedown detents, or bolts, or how buffers or _insert part here_ never fail so there's no need for spares.
Get 'em now
Speaking of, without doing my own research, is there, like, a kit/bag/source, whatever, for a pile of spare parts fo the M&P 2.0?

Speaking of picking up new hobbies. Any of you ever regretted putting exhaust on your truck/car?
Have my lifted f150 that I daily and no exhaust yet. Want something tame so there’s a little growl when I get up on it, but I don’t want it to be obnoxious have drone or ruin long road trips due to the noise. Am I being a bish? Or reasonable concern?

Agreed...for rifle you can largely do the same just with quals as inspiration. Supplemented with dry fire a little ammo cam go a long way.
I bought an airsoft glock and rifle for doing drills. Built a target to catch the pellets in the basement. It's not a substitute for live fire but it lets you practice foot work and is really good for working draw and presentation. Plus you can use it for force on force training if you have a buddy who has stuff too. This account was created for the purpose of roleplaying and satire. I fail to understand your defense of supporting Netflix. If you want to keep Netflix, do it. But it's completely disingenuous to act like you don't support their radical views because you watch normal movies/shows.
That's like donating to the present-day democrat party because you liked JFK.
I'm not calling you a liar, but you're talking about something you remember hearing. A far cry for actual data. I'm not saying leftist states wouldn't do all they can to keep your guns and some may take longer than others, but I find it extremely hard to believe that the government is going to indefinitely keep your property after you used it in a lawful manner.
Especially to the point of choosing one gun or the other because you don't want the incredibly unlikely scenario described above to occur. I don't know about you, but a gun used to defend my life is replaceable. My life is not.
This. I've tried BAD levers and was not a fan. The benefit is just not there.
Two months ago CA reissued their state wide stay at home order due to ICU capacity reaching "critical" levels. They largely based this off of LA county's numbers. In LA County at that time, Covid hospitalizations were at 2,500.
Days after Biden took office and the order has been lifted when LA County Covid hospitalizations are at nearly 7,000.
Democrats are the enemy of the people and need to be eradicated.
Do you guys still play COC??? That's pretty cool they're still updating it lol.Misc Firearms Crew

Continuous war has never ceased. I have 3 accounts sitting at full max TH13 and two more that just need to finish walls. Most of our lineup is full max except maybe walls. Hero levels are up to 75/75/50/25. My main account has 4,289 war stars though next two are close behind. Clan has 823 war wins and does clan war league every month. Eric is probably the only other guy from your time who is still in clan and active regularly

No ragrets.
Back in college I had possibly the loudest daily driver you have ever heard in your life and zero regrets.
What you want is a Borla S-type. Unless you really only want a "little growl" "when you get up on it" in which case get the Borla Touring
Yeah it's like $1,100 but it's all T-304 stainless and built right. Also Borla, as has been the case for decades, means no drone

The issue is certainly not going to cause me any hesitation if someone has broken into my home. I'm going to grab the closest firearm, whether it be a handgun, rifle or otherwise, and use it as it is to be used.
This issue is also why people need to own more than one firearm.

Maybe you should relent. Down there in the other LA I hear there were trailer fulls of water damaged guns without proper receipt never returned to their owners after being confiscated post Katrina. Think that little old lady who got tackled in her home in NOLA for daring to have a revolver and not leave her house got it back?
