Best piece of advice for sustained fat loss.
~ It's not a "Diet". It's a complete and permanent change in lifestyle/eating.
Failing to wrap their heads around that is why 95%+ of people who diet either don't succeed at it or simply regain all of the fat soon after the "diet" is over.~ Like Tae-Kwon-Leap, my goals are not a path to a door, but a road leading forever towards the horizon.

^^^^ I second this one, exactly what I would have said.
But here's my own without saying the same thing twice:
1. Learn how to count calories/macros using a food scale weighing everything down to the gram.
2. Eat a well rounded, sustainable, nutritious diet comprised of at least 80% whole foods with evenly spaced meals/protein feedings
3. Follow a proven strength training program that focuses on progressive overload. Don't just "wing it" in the gym, progress tracking is important. All it takes is consistency, effort, proper nutrition, good programming, and TIME.
Don't be upset with the results you didn't get from the work you did not do.
