Thinking about lifting my cayenne turbo

So I have a 2004 cayenne TT, its a beast. 450hp, 454 torque. I currently have increased wheel size from ~29 to ~31, without any mods and no rubbing.

I've taken this off road on this set up and it does awesome. You can lift via air struts but it only will stay under 25mph so I can't fit much bigger tires than what are on it.

Found a 2.5" lift, sounds like it requires coilover conversion, or as they say is untested with air struts.

So I have two options and this is where I'd like some input. Option 1 is get the lifts, which are aluminum billet spacers, and put them on top of the air struts, this is untested by the manufacturer. Keep factory ride height adjustment and more comfort than coilovers. Also can convert to coilovers whenever the struts go bad.

Option two is convert to coilovers and spacers and get 2.5" of lift. coilovers. Lose air adjustability and some comfort.

Either way I could fit 33" tires and have better off road performance. Will go more aggressive on tires.

Noteworthy, deleting secondary cats, supposed to increase hp by about 50hp, new center drive shaft, new ignition coils.

    current at regular height

With max current height adjustment via air struts.

For reference, this is a lifted cayenne3" on 33s,
My other car is a camaro so ill have a good street vehicle

definitely will. Leaning towards coilovers atm.

I'll post up a video after I do the secondary cat delete. This is already been ordered.

Coil overs are a better choice than spacers imo.
Doing a full tune up as well as a cat back h pipe and a borla muffler on my new to me 98 z71 this weekend. I am pumped. Won’t pick up 50hp but should gain a bit better low end hopefully.

def get coil overs, why would you want just the look of a lifted suv without any real increase in functionality.

I initially was in the coil over camp since spacers are normally garbage in comparison. But am somewhat curious if this being an air ride suspension may change things a bit.

Having the comfort and assuming push button adjustability of the air suspension, along with some additional clearance for larger rubber seems like a great dual purpose combo.

Love the off roading your Porsche, now get to deleting that chrome, and blacking out those wheels. The darker reds / black contrast is a beastly yet sexy contrast!

So just to clarify, hopefully it was semi clear. In the cayenne, I have yet to fine any true lift. Both the xoilover or the air struts would have the spacer. Not necessarily happy about this but thats what the market offers. Either way I'll be lifting it. But both cases would have a spacer given Markey availability.

Love any input, will be repping.

I saw that and it’s pretty dumb imo because the coil over manufacturers could easily engineer a set for what you’re wanting to do, there just must not be a big enough market for them to do so at this time.
I’d still lean that way personally because I don’t trust bags to last off-road.

I still need to do more research, i would hope that someone makes a coilove that gives me 2.5 inches of lift without the spacer but I have found it yet

Shoot Bilstein or whoever your first choice is a note and see what they can do for you. Most companies are pretty responsive. FWIW
