Warmed up well then went up to 205x2 on squat. Felt great.
Moved back down to 185 reps and 1st rep felt sharp pain in hip flexor again.
Did some split squats with lighter weight then moved on the calves, ham curl, leg extension.
Legs again into rotation Fri. or Sat.. Not going to give up. Only thing I'm thinking about it to do the split squats before regular squats for more of a warm up.
I did chest today and had a good workout. Went up to 215x1 and got it. I might try this pyramid up next time as well and use the db's for my working sets after.
Legs today. Should remember I've taken my old preworkout last 2 workouts. Cheaper and working better.
Did split squats first with 15 and 30lb. db's (using 2)
Did lowbar squats with 165x5x2 then dropped to a set at 135. Felt good and I should follow this routine next time. My hip is fully warmed up but I can't go too heavy as legs are tired from split squats already.
I decided to get warmed up and hit some bench. Just went up to 1 rep at 205 pause rep. I was going to do some more but decided I'd better leave it at that.
I think it was a good choice as when I did seated shoulder press the 40's were heavy as heck. I ended up dropping to the 30's for 3 sets.
Did side and rear delts followed by abs.
I tried doing some planks after I did situps. Never really have done them before, not bad.
I really didn't want to go overboard on either shoulders or abs as I want to hit a good deadlift day as well as a solid chest workout this weekend.
I'm pretty much working around several little injuries at this point.
I did back yesterday and went up to 345 on deadlifts. Went all the way back to 225 for a few rep sets. That was a shorter than usual workout.
Same with chest today. I did a pyramid up to 205 on flat but nervous about the shoulder. Did sets on flat and incline with db's slow and stretch.
I still want to get the 225/405 numbers but they are kind of becoming less important to me. Honestly I can't wait for spring and switch up to higher reps and different exercises outdoors.
On the more positive side though I haven't had a cigarette in close to a week. I looking forward to being a lot more active and increasing lung capacity and health. I'd like to do a lot of freediving this summer.
