Yeah, my GT was 11.8 stock with the basic PS4's, not sure how the stock scat is faster since it's significantly heavier, but these cars all murder the hilarious 370z given in the OP

Why the hate? This isn't a fanboy thread. I love Challengers and would be content with one. Here's a good question since you think they're chit

What car can you buy fully loaded for $45k and runs high 11s?

This is what typical POS "v8 muscle" car drivers do. Look at the numbers on paper and bench race.

Yes, the chitpack will beat an escalade at higher speeds. From 0-100 type of speeds a shorty escalade can give a chit pack a run for its money. Especially if it has mods+tune to net it 35whp.

It's beyond weight... Gears. POS dodge products typically have retard gears. Badly long gears... The Escalade has an 8 speed transmission. That means shorter gearing for towing and performance. That means strong low end acceleration. The transmission in a chit pack is garbage.

Tires? I've always lol'd at the skinny turd 245's Dodge fits their cars with.

This thread is obviously full of noobs who all bench race... It's tough to even have a proper conversation. Just a bunch of WK's defending a chit box.

Besides my knowledge of cars, and performance.. I've literally driven just about everything out there including long periods with Escalades and a chit pack twice.

First things first... You're cherry picking the **BEST** possible 1/4 mile number for that car.. Which time are you referring to? Who ran it? What was the track prep like? What was density altitude? Was it bone stock? Were the tires upgraded? I just watched a video of one running a 13.0 @ 108.. That's slow and sounds way more realistic than 11.9.

Chit packs run mid-high 12's in my location (high elevation). It's gonna run a different time in south florida or the east coast.

Fully loaded? What's so fully loaded about a junker mopar chit pack? Nothing. They're hot garbage. $45k can get you a lot of car on the used market. Dozens of better quality cars which you can mod/tune if you like.

Stop calling it an 11 second car. At best, cherry picked with god like track prep, below sea level it *might* sniff 11.9. That's not an 11 second car. That's a 12 second car.

I'm not cherry picking anything. As already stated the magazine drivers are getting 11s. And if you head to Dodge forums a lot of owners are getting high 11s. And this is just on tires. If the car has gotten 11s by numerous people then that's what it's capable of.

You're a horrible troll and I'm ignoring you.

Maybe he just sucks? He's only had it for a week. I'm thinking 392s are only fast in the right hands. Plebs buy them and can't do much. What's your M3 specs?

I can think of many cars with V8s, 3 pedals, and big backseats

E39 M5. I still want one. A GXP comes after that, what do you have in mind?
Regarding the race, we rolled into it at maybe 20mph, my car sucks at launching on the street even with new PS4s

my challenger is the SRT with the 392, they don't do that combo anymore. it hauls ass. i couldn't tell you if it wins races "in the streets" because i'm not retarded and i don't race strangers over bragging rights. fast and furious was a fun movie though.

Okay... Just an FYI tires make a world of difference and can add .5 seconds to any car... Keep up the e-bench racing on the forums full of clowns.

I can imagine a lot of cars beating them just due to traction issues. I dont know why dodge gave them such crappy tires out the factory. I had the same tires on my beater ws6 and I would spin without even trying much. I'm sure it's way worse with a car that makes 100+ more hp.

That being said I haven't seen to many lose roll races when they can get traction. Those things are scary quick for how big they are.

Every car mentioned in this thread is slow as chit.

Short of a purpose-built race car, C6/C7 Z06/ZR1 is the way to go for street racing. 850-900whp with stock blower and any demon, gt500, mclaren, etc is going to get a gift certificate to gapplebees. And that's daily drivable with ease.

Thank you for this statement... I can film myself "racing" xyz car with a corolla and clickbait the title as if the corolla won even if the other car wasn't racing.

I was able to blow the doors off a fully bolted Hellcat charger with a 3.0 Porsche. Now that's sad.

900 HP from the stock LT4 blower, even ported, seems questionable but it would still be a monster.

I haven't been able to test mine at the track since the e85 tune, but I know a modded zr1 is going to walk me lol.

That being said I haven't seen to many lose roll races when they can get traction. Those things are scary quick for how big they are.
You can beat most cars due to traction issues, but as soon as the Challenger came out, it was obvious they weighed too much and it doesn't look like you can fit a very wide tire on them either. Underwhelming car, but they look nice.

GXP is a Pontiac, bad reliability and it's old.

    I'm stuck on a 392 with the 6 speed. Was also looking at 2014 Audi S7, W204 C63, and C6 Z06

    Lol, no it doesn’t.

The Hennessy Escalades are 800hp and are high 11’s (like the 1320’s and scat packs). Far from your “minor motor mods”.

And yes, I’ve owned a 392 (in a Jeep SRT). They are plenty quick for street purposes.

    0.25~0.35 typical car

so at absolute worst the suv will use about twice as much HP than a car due to pressure drag at a given speed, in most cases it is much closer, prob 1.3-1.6 times. the avg car will use ~10 hp at 50mph and about 80hp at 100.

the difference can easily be overcome at reasonable speeds, not exactly the brick wall past 50mph you are implying

You know the difference between stock & not stock?

I have a Chevy RST which is basically the SS version of the Tahoe. It has the 6.2, 4 wheel drive, 10 speed transmission, an aggressive tune from the factory and is the fastest large size SUV ever produced by GM (or at least was according to the last articles/tests I read).

I've had additional work done on mine. Its "fast" for a behemoth SUV but there is no way Im catching a scat pack. None - Zero. Scat packs easily challenge Mustang GTs up until the 18+ models...

You may have yours modded to the hilt and therefore you might win a foot race but you arent touching a Scat stock form

Not on a highway, but on the streets from light to light it's whoever gets the jump. Especially given what your SUV has.

So your trunk only has 420 crank hp, horrible 3.23 gears, & weighs 400lbs more. And you think that compares to 100+hp more & 3.90 gears.

I was trolling with my original post, but some people in here are dense.

This guy gets it. Of course a scat pack or RT will win in a 1/4 mile or from a roll. From a dig... completely different story. Just like my vette has around 150 horses less than my girls gt500. But my car will pull hard on hers from a dig up to around 90mph, then her mustang gaps my car. Traction & gearing are everything.

That said... Challengers are gorgeous. But if you're wanting to go fast, there are better options in the price range of a scat pack or 1320.
