    If you compete in powerlifting, you have to pause. TnG or bounce is an immediate red light.

    Not competing? Do whatever works for you. I wouldn’t recommend bouncing but controlled TnG is fine.

    Personally, I only TnG. Paused is “supposed” to be better but when I do paused I struggle to make progress and it jacks my shoulders up. I’m also waaaay weaker on pause. If I can get 10 reps with TnG, I’ll get maybe 5 paused. The strength disparity is insane (for me).
