My older brother got like a 2.9 for his overall and science GPA. He got a degree in biology. He failed quite a few undergrad. classes(including organic chemistry 2X). He failed out of 2 masters programs. He then worked for about 1.5 years and got fired.
Then he did a 3rd smp (masters for medical school.) His first semester of his 3rd masters, he got a GPA of 3.3. Then covid hit the 2nd semester and he used a couple of his friends and they cheated on the tests since they were online. His 2nd semester GPA was a 3.8. Overall GPA was a 3.7ish.
He got a really high Mcat. 518. Top 3% I think.
I don't understand though. How can you fail out of 2 masters programs and fail undergrad classes and still get 3 D.O and 1 medical school interview? Thoughts?

With 518, he will. just basics for 2 years and then exam scores, which the MCAT predicts more than anything. It sounds like you're focussing on negatives. He probably did well in hard courses or did a difficult programme and did challenging work if he earned this MCAT score. Anyone can look bad if you focus on their lowlights.
Also, the past is not the future. Surely, he knows more now, since he finished 1 master's programme and probably straightened out elsewhere. You would not describe your personality by one oversight when you were in 4th grade or similar. You're just trying to find a way to look down on him because he's your brother and you use a lot.
The 2.9 would disqualify him had he not claimed hispanic.
An adult way of relating to him looks like genuinely trying to help each other on serious stuff because you're mature enough to know how hard things can become and how few people outside of family will ever help you.
