    Lose weight by increasing calories.

Too often do we see people complaining about NOT losing weight but they swear their caloric count is on point.

Just using me as an example, I started at 172lb and it has been almost 12 weeks. I have data to prove I lost at least 1lb a week the entire time.

How did I do this? I roughly ate 1900 calories but I didnt want to take a chance so I also walked at least 8 miles a day.

I'm not saying you must walk 8 miles a day. However I am saying to stop looking at your calories being too high and you arent losing weight. Because we arent watching you 24/7 so you could tell us anything and it could be true or false. Only you know.

Try adding in activity to your daily activities. Find an excuse to walk, be it walk to your stores instead of driving. Sit down less, pick up a hobby like swimming or cycling.

If your caloric goal is 2000cal to lose 1lb a week then you dont have to only focus on the caloric part of it. Supplement it with more activity.

I actually bumped my calories up to 2100 because I'm still losing 1lb a week and I want to slow down a lot approaching 10%

If you are new to fitness and trying to lose weight dont set your goal so low. Like 1500cal if that is what all the data points to. Add in extra activity and eat a little more so you dont spin your wheels where you dont prioritize your body to burn muscle and you can sustain your cut.

My first cut in 2016 I did very little daily activity. All i did was workout but also I cut volume a lot and was eating around 1900. I lost 10lbs in 3 months like this time but I lost at least 5lbs of muscle because I solely focused on the calories.

This cut I'm extremely active and the difference is night and day. I feel like I lost very little if any size. Feels like I can sustain this lifestyle very comfortably and my goal is 157lb before lean bulking. As I mentioned earlier I boosted my calories up to 2100

It is always calories in vs calories out but having to eat such a low caloric goal makes it more difficult to get enough macros and sustain the lifestyle.

Best of luck to all my bros and h.. uhh broettes?

    Solid info here!
I've found what you said to be true in my latest cutting period, where I was generally inactive (besides working out) during most of the day, due to lockdown/working from home etc.
I had to go down to 1600-1700 calories, possibly even lower, and it was horrible, never doing that again.
