Hey all, quick question.
I'm looking for a solid recovery supplement, that helps with soreness, and maybe some joint health stuff, etc. Something that covers my bases other then just protein, is there a well known high quality recovery mix I can use? Atm I don't take aminos, I just take protein. I work out very hard and my body is taking a ****ing constant beating...
Thanks!

Best thing for recovery is your diet. I've found since my increase in calories, it has been a big contributor to my recovery (proper nutrition, proteins, carbs, fats)
If you're looking for joint aid, something like OT from Controlled Labs is a great option that covers both your multi and joint support all in one. One of the best IMO

I'll look into the joint aid.
My diet is good already honestly, the reason I was asking is because I don't take protein on my off days, and don't take aminos ever. So thought maybe there's a recovery mix thats like a protein for off days, with maybe some glutamine in it or some other stuff to help recovery, but if its not recommended thats fine.
Thanks thou. Good to know.

Meet your macros daily regardless of whether your workout. That's what he meant by diet. Taking protein powder isn't any different than eating a piece of chicken. Protein powder is just powdered food. If you need the help meeting your macro, then use it. If not, then don't.
If you're meeting your macro daily you're getting plenty of amino acids including glutamine."I'm pretty sure your wrong, but care to elaborate..."

Got it. Yea after some more research that pretty much is it. No other special formula haha.
I really don't enjoy taking the same protein powder thou on my off days.. so I was thinking maybe there is a protein powder that gets absorbed slower, over a greater period of time, and maybe a vegan option. Is this sensible at all? I just don't want the same whey crap every day.
I'd like to give my stomach and liver a rest while getting those nutrients.

Remember this phrase: In the context of a high protein diet of varied sources protein is protein. BV, absorption rates, timing, etc are not relevant factors in body comp goals for the vast majority of people.
Then don't use whey. Just eat your protein. It isn't going to make a difference. If you need help meeting your macro and want to use powdered food to help do so, pick a protein powder that fits your budget and macros and you like the taste. The only other consideration is to avoid collagen or collagen based powders."I'm pretty sure your wrong, but care to elaborate..."
