Can't wait for the day I can afford to live without roommates.
Anyhow, new roommate lives downstairs but has been putting half her groceries in upstairs fridge where I and another roommate live.
How can I address this without starting a fight?
I don't know her well, did not have a hand in choosing her, and recently learned she's on edge filing bankruptcy (36yr old nurse without a car and a lotta baggage apparently).
She's definitely a has-been and her glow is completely gone so that also adds to potential bat**** craziness.

The passive aggressive move is to start eating the food she leaves in your fridge.
Because you're a Miscer, I should emphasise that 'eating her groceries' does not mean sexytimes."A stupid man's report of what a clever man says can never be accurate, because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand."

The right way to do it:
Ask/Tell her to not use your fridge Politely.
The shy weird way to do it;
Put a piece of paper on the fridge door asking nicely for that fridge to be reserved for you
The dick way/passive aggressive:
Put a lock on the fridge, donโt say anything
The way to start a fight/aggressive way:
Take her stuff out of the fridge and place down stairs on the counter and let it spoil. If she asks say the extra fridge space is a 100 bucks a monthSuperHercules crew

Nice breakdown
I've been direct with female roommates before and it's NEVER gone well.
Example: Hey there Sarah, would you mind using your own space for your things? -WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO WALK MY GROCERIES UPSTAIRS TO THE KITCHEN EVERYDAY REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
The landlord has a "You're grown ups, figure it out" policy. Can't blame em.
