The fact that Koney was going on like 20 years before the internet blew up with all the virtue signaling (in 2012) tells you all you need to know about the internet and people virtue signaling.

The Mayans were amazing astronomers. Their calendar was based on astronomical events (not too unlike ours).
On 21 Dec 2012, there was a type of eclipse sometimes called a dark rift. It is very anticlimactic. On that day, the Sun appeared to rise in the center of the Milky Way galaxy from our perspective. Due to a gyroscopic characteristic known as axial precession, as the Earth rotates on its axis, it creates a type of wobbling effect. Think of a top wobbling as it spins. This wobbling takes just shy of 26,000 years to complete one cycle. The Mayan calendar ended at the end of one of those cycles in the same way our calendar ends at some arbitrary point on the Earths orbit.
That is all. Any type of sentiment added to the end of the Mayan calendar, other than the fact they were amazing astronomers, is made up nonsense based on no real information.
But you subscribe to astrology. Soooo...I only read thread titles and my own posts.
