My uncle. I'd ask him, in GREAT DETAIL, all about his fight with Sugar Ray. That must have been wild!! I remember how animated he was speaking about this particular bout!! But I was too young to really appreciate how gifted an athlete he was. And I never got the chance to tell him how proud I am of him...at least not in person.
He was such a loving uncle!!! This is my shout-out to him today. XOXOFact: My first-generation uncle was a boxer who fought Sugar Ray Robinson! He also fought in the war, sacrificing the career he deeply loved, so people could have the right to freedom.

Robinson, of course!! My sig is real.
I think Robinson has been ranked top 3, or higher, "best of ALL TIME," pound for pound.
If my uncle hadn't gotten injured in the war, he could have had some crazy incredible career- who knows. That had been his ambition all along and he was working towards it. I just wish I had spoken to him about it more.Fact: My first-generation uncle was a boxer who fought Sugar Ray Robinson! He also fought in the war, sacrificing the career he deeply loved, so people could have the right to freedom.
