Just got my ass kicked by Iudex Gundyr 5 times in a row

Title. Rolled a pyro and "YOU DIED" 5 times to this cheeky fooker.

I one-shot Pontiff the last 3 runs I did but for some reason the "easiest" boss always kills me at least once. I think it's getting back in the groove after time away but maybe I just suck now.

Champion gundyr was even worse. Phuking gaped in my angus to the point where I could’ve whistled out of it. Had to rely on parrying to finally beat him.

Champion gundyr and nameless king were the only 2 bosses where I had to wait the most for just 1 opening to hurt them.

I still need to get around to actually beating Dank Souls 3 one of these days. Kept getting side-tracked by other games. Already beat Demon's Souls, Dank Souls 1, Dank Souls 2 and Bloodborne. It's a great game though and probably my favorite of the "Dark" Souls series.

Champion is no pushover but something about iudex gets me every time. Like I said I think it's just about the groove - I come back to DS3 and need to get my souls sea legs back.

Agree on NK. Him and Headless Guardian Ape took me AGES to kill since I would wait for the one or two specific windows I could punish.

Just behind BB for me. I thought it was because of the fast combat but Sekiro never clicked for so who knows.

Definitely give it another run - the late game and especially the DLC has some of the best challenges in the whole series.

Pretty sure I spent my first 8 hours playing the first level on Demon's Souls on ultra black tendency, damn red dragon bridge. Hoping they actually release it on PC like they initially said.

I'm at the Lothric Princes boss, then have the 3 optional bosses before the final one for the main game. Haven't touched the dlc yet.

No, no. The guy at the VERY beginning of the game. You're thinking of the rematch fight with Champion Gundyr. Or you suck as bad as I do haha.

I love that fight, agree hard. His huge leaps from across the map to clobber you, feels so good to parry/dodge that move.

There are actually 6 optional bosses in the mail game. Good fukken luck against Princes. One of the few bosses where summoning doesn't make much difference - they swing so wide and move so random that you can't really sneak up when their aggro is on someone else. Outstanding fight, one of my favorites even though I usually have a hard time with them.

Iudex is super weak to fire so I am not sure how you are having trouble. Started a pyro for the first time and been destroying every boss (no summons) in somewhere between 1-3 tries with a couple exceptions. Seems like an OP char class.

This is my second pyro run. For PVE it's pretty OP. Once you hit smouldering lake and get great chaos orb you can delete pretty much anything.

Enjoy. The DLC are light on bosses but easily some of the hardest in the game.

I did pretty good against the first dlcs final boss but I had to summon for every boss in ringed city except halflight. Demon princes is the hardest boss for me besides the ones everyone agrees on as being brutal. I just can't get the hang of that fight.

I got destroyed by the demon princes atleast 10x then I summoned the NPC Lapp and switched skills and beat them easily the next try. The demon prince is too hard with pyromancy but what really helped was switching from pyromancy to the caitha's chime and then using the dark miracle dorhys gnaw + the NPC.

Haven't gotten too far into the RC yet though.

Will have a look. This thread started when I rerolled a pyro to run thru again so I've got a pyro going right now. Only at abyss watchers right now but I'll get there soon.

Those bastards have been in the back of my mine as a late-run stumbling block. I have to get the hang of that boss, tired of getting my ass kicked.
